DESCRIPTION:Fonzaso\, at about 329 meters above sea level\, is located in a privileged position\, within a flat basin surrounded by mountains and has always been an important junction between the roads of Primiero\, Feltrino\, and Valsugana.  \nThroughout history\, it has faced fires\, barbarian invasions\, and many events that led to years of famine and plague\, but Fonzaso\, leveraging its fields and mountainous slopes\, has always managed to rise again.  \nDespite various adventures and misadventures\, the population has never stopped cultivating their land; the main resources were grapes and silkworms\, along with timber and hay\, and today these products\, especially grapes\, are being rediscovered. Some locals are indeed bringing back to light many grape varieties that were once well-known. \nDuring the Grape Festival\, there will be opportunities to taste grappas and wines from the area\, the old courtyards will be opened with demonstrations of ancient crafts.  \nThere will be organized guided tours to discover the historic and natural beauties of Fonzaso\, and there will be food stands offering many specialties and good music. \nGastronomic and cultural event of the wines of Belluno

The exhibition represents the first official event related to the Mostra Mercato 2025. \nThe inauguration will take place on Thursday\, September 25 at 6:00 PM at the multifunctional hall of the Cultural Center\, located at via Cal de Formiga 31\, with a presentation by Dr. Cristina Pierotti. \n The exhibition\, sponsored by the Municipality of Santa Giustina and the Department of Culture\, is titled “HAYALLER”\, a Turkish word that means “dreams.” An evocative title\, inspired by a musical piece from a Turkish band particularly dear to the artist\, whose notes will accompany the exhibition path. The music\, in fact\, is the same that the author usually listens to during the creative process. \n On display are 24+1 works\, created in the last five years\, using oil on canvas technique\, in sizes 50×70 and 60×80. The paintings present themselves as an inner journey\, deeply personal\, where abstraction merges with figurative elements and recurring dreamlike symbols. The artist’s pictorial language moves between metaphysics and surrealism\, giving life to works that configure as “daydreams”: sometimes whispered\, other times shouted\, but always authentically experienced. \n The exhibition will remain open until October 10. DESCRIPTION:Free entry evening \nAt the end of the month\, the usual free admission evening will take place\, dedicated to everyone who wants to get familiar with the use of the Center’s instruments\, or even bring and have explained how to use their own telescope. \nIn case of bad weather\, visitors can still ask\, indoors\, for guidance on the functioning of their instruments. If the weather is nice\, we will also be able to show the main deep-sky objects that will cross the meridian between 9 PM and 11 PM at the Dobson\, such as the Dumbbell Nebula\, the Veil Nebula\, the Globular Clusters M2 and M15\, as well as project them\, along with many others\, onto a giant screen with the cooled camera and the Baker-Schmidt telescope. In case of bad weather\, a projection of the month’s sky will take place at the planetarium.

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 27\, 2025\, at the Canossian Institute of Feltre\, the closing event of the “Habitat – the protection of biodiversity in the province of Belluno” project will take place\, promoted with the support of the Cariverona Foundation. \nThe meeting arises from the dialogue among the four projects funded in recent years under the Habitat Call\, which involved the municipalities of Feltre\, Lamon\, Seren del Grappa\, and the province of Belluno\, united by the common goal of protecting and enhancing biodiversity in its various forms. \nThe day represents not only the conclusion of an important project path but also a moment of discussion among institutions\, scientific bodies\, and local communities\, as well as a valuable opportunity for citizens to discover the rich natural heritage of Valbelluna and understand the value of concrete actions for its conservation. The results achieved\, the methodologies adopted\, and future prospects will be presented to consolidate a territorial network capable of safeguarding the Belluno environmental heritage. \nThe program of the day includes an initial welcome moment and institutional greetings\, followed by the presentation of the four projects. DESCRIPTION:We invite you to take part in a moment of deep reflection and spirituality on the occasion of the Holy Mass dedicated to Blessed Giovanni Paolo I. \nThe celebration will be a unique opportunity to remember the life and spiritual legacy of this great pope\, through words\, music\, and testimonies. \nDuring the Holy Mass\, the Castion Choir will accompany the liturgy with evocative musical interventions\, creating an atmosphere of intense participation and contemplation. \nThe voices of the choir will guide the faithful on an emotional journey that unites devotion\, harmony\, and beauty. \nEnhancing the day will be the contribution of Loris Serafini\, director of the Albino Luciani Museum in Canale d’Agordo\, a scholar and archivist who has passionately dedicated years to preserving and enhancing the memory of the Blessed. \nWith personal memories and testimonies\, he will recount significant moments from Giovanni Paolo I’s life\, offering reflections and inspiration for all present. \nThe celebration takes on a special meaning as it marks the anniversary of the death (September 28\, 1978) of Blessed Albino Luciani\, the Pope of Smiles\, whose pontificate\, although very brief\, left an indelible mark for his humanity\, simplicity\, and closeness to the faithful. \nThrough words and memories\, it will be possible to relive the values and teachings that the Blessed conveyed in those few days\, making the Mass an occasion to reflect on the universal message of hope and love that he left to the Church and the world. \nThe celebration will be held at the Church of San Giuseppe in Borgo Pra\, an intimate and secluded place that retains the charm of past communities and has always represented a spiritual reference point for the inhabitants of the village. \nSituated in the heart of one of the historic neighborhoods of Belluno\, the church preserves an atmosphere of simplicity and silence that invites prayer and reflection. \nIts walls\, witnesses of faith and tradition\, will welcome the faithful in a familiar and welcoming environment\, making the celebration in memory of Blessed Giovanni Paolo I even more intense. \nHoly Mass in honor of Blessed John Paul I\, with a remembrance of Loris Serafini and musical accompaniment by the Castion Choir.

These and many other questions will find comprehensive answers thanks to the initiative “Librarian for a Day\,” promoted by the Municipal Administration of Fonzaso through the Civic Library. \nThe project aimed at children and teenagers aged 7 to 14 aims to raise awareness among young people about the importance that libraries hold today for the development of communities: a place dedicated to culture\, socialization\, and personal growth. \nThe initiative includes a series of four meetings with a maximum of 3 participants per time slot (first shift from 10:00 to 10:30 – second shift: from 10:30 to 11:00) which will take place at the Civic Library on the following dates: \nSaturday\, September 27 2025Saturday\, October 4 2025Saturday\, October 11 2025Saturday\, October 25 2025 \nThe teenagers will be the stars of a fun and stimulating journey that will allow them to stand behind the counter\, helping the Librarian with lending to users\, shelving books\, searching for requested books\, stamping\, and labeling new literary works. DESCRIPTION:Mattmark disaster show \n  \nOn the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Mattmark disaster\, an event that occurred on August 30\, 1965\, in Switzerland\, causing one of the most serious workplace tragedies involving Italian emigrants\, especially from the Belluno area\, The Bellunesi Association in The World aims to remember what happened through an immersive exhibition composed of photographs\, documents\, films\, and video interviews with survivors and family members of the victims. \nDuring the construction of the largest dam in Europe\, a massive chunk of ice from the Allalin glacier (about two million cubic meters) broke off and overwhelmed the workers’ accommodations\, causing 88 deaths\, of which 56 were Italians and 17 were from Belluno. The last body was found two years later. The warning signs had been ignored\, but in the trials of 1972\, all the defendants were acquitted\, and the victims’ families even had to pay half of the legal costs. A tragedy without justice that profoundly marked the collective memory of the area. \nAn exhibition to understand what happened from the voice of those who were there\, from the words of those who saw their lives change in that disaster.
