DESCRIPTION:Non-competitive running race in the places of Vajont \nStart and finish in Longarone (BL) – free pace\, open to everyone on 3 routes of approximately 9/16/24 km. \nThe walking event on the ‘Memory of Vajont’ routes was conceived by the Association of Vajont Survivors\, now the Vajont Association – the future of Memory\, to promote a widely appealing event remembering the tragedy of October 9\, 1963\, mainly involving young people\, in order to stimulate and support\, through sport\, a moment of remembrance and reflection for the 1910 innocent victims\, as well as create a ‘solidarity fund’ to donate for humanitarian aid. \nThe non-competitive race will traverse sections of roads interrupted or destroyed in the Vajont disaster that historically characterized the connecting routes between the Vajont Valley\, as well as paths that served as ancient walking routes for the people of Casso\, Erto\, Castellavazzo\, and Longarone. \nIt will therefore be a suggestive step back in time to traverse routes rich in history such as the old Colomber road\, the tunnels\, the pipe bridge\, the Pascoli quarry\, the entire crest of the dam\, cross the Toc landslide\, pass through old Erto\, and then\, for the Trui del sciarbon\, ascend to Casso\, descend to Codissago for the Troi de Sant’Antoni\, and reach Longarone in the Malcom area. \n \nSport and solidarity for the Memory of Vajont

DESCRIPTION:Presentation of the new book by David Bellatalla. \n   The volume “Mongolia and the Mongols“\, published by Saturnia\, is an in-depth analysis of the written testimonies of sedentary people about the nomadic peoples of Mongolia.  \nThe author\, anthropologist and university researcher David Bellatalla\, moves away from purely academic perspectives to offer a view that promotes intercultural dialogue in an increasingly complex world.  \nThe work explores how humans interpret cultures different from their own\, often revealing prejudices or\, conversely\, utopian idealizations.  Through a comparative reading of travel diaries\, accounts from pilgrims\, soldiers\, and adventurers\, the volume highlights the biases and perceptions of settled people towards nomads.  \nBellatalla’s research focuses on sixteen key themes\, selecting texts that express not only judgments but also astonishment\, disappointment\, appreciation\, and aversion. The aim is to showcase the dual face of prejudice\, making the work accessible to a wide audience. Bellatalla’s experience\, which has seen him conducting research in Mongolia since 1994\, is also evidenced by his other works on shamanism and his humanitarian expeditions\, such as the S.o.S. Taiganà project. His long career and his role as Cultural Ambassador of Mongolia since 2022 confirm his profound knowledge of the subject.  \n   The following morning\, Tuesday\, September 23\, there will be a meeting dedicated to middle school students. The event\, titled “In the Lands of Genghis Khan“\, will use evocative images to explore nomadism and encourage reflection on the substantial differences between the sedentary and nomadic ways of life.

The exhibition represents the first official event related to the Mostra Mercato 2025. \nThe inauguration will take place on Thursday\, September 25 at 6:00 PM at the multifunctional hall of the Cultural Center\, located at via Cal de Formiga 31\, with a presentation by Dr. Cristina Pierotti. \n The exhibition\, sponsored by the Municipality of Santa Giustina and the Department of Culture\, is titled “HAYALLER”\, a Turkish word that means “dreams.” An evocative title\, inspired by a musical piece from a Turkish band particularly dear to the artist\, whose notes will accompany the exhibition path. The music\, in fact\, is the same that the author usually listens to during the creative process. \n On display are 24+1 works\, created in the last five years\, using oil on canvas technique\, in sizes 50×70 and 60×80. The paintings present themselves as an inner journey\, deeply personal\, where abstraction merges with figurative elements and recurring dreamlike symbols. The artist’s pictorial language moves between metaphysics and surrealism\, giving life to works that configure as “daydreams”: sometimes whispered\, other times shouted\, but always authentically experienced. \n The exhibition will remain open until October 10. DESCRIPTION:The great summer event showcase returns\, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year \nThe Valmorel under the stars event is back\, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. \nThe event begins on Saturday\, July 5 at 5:00 PM with the inauguration of the exhibition and the awards for the photographic competition “Man and Mountain” dedicated to Loris De Barba\, at the Vejo center. \nFollowing that\, at 8:30 PM\, there will be a concert and the show “Call Me a Witch” with Voci di Passaggio and the fire dancers “Spirit Flame” at the sports field. \nOn the same weekend\, Saturday\, July 5 and Sunday\, July 6\, the 20th fractional football tournament 3rd memorial Billy Sommacal will take place along with wine tastings in the square. \nOn Saturday\, the 12th\, “30 years together under the stars”: \n\nAt 11:00 AM\, baroque music with maestro Giovanni Calò\nAt 12:30 PM\, tastings of Valmorel and Valpiana cheeses\, lunch with local products paired with wines from the Biasiotto agricultural company.
