SUMMARY:Il Canto della Croce
DESCRIPTION:The road to the Sanctuary. A musical\, poetic\, and educational journey \nThe Cross is among the central themes of the oldest Western musical repertoire: Gregorian chant\, monody\, and late medieval polyphony. The depth of the texts that address it is objective\, tracing back to the very core of Christianity\, namely the death and resurrection of Christ. The images are among the most touching\, for the deeply human dimension encapsulated in the figure of the Son and in the wrenching pain of Mary\, who at the foot of the Cross is first and foremost a mother and a woman. \nMonody and chorality sometimes alternate\, sometimes intertwine\, symbolizing communal participation in the path of salvation that necessarily involves suffering. However\, within the musical journey\, there are also intonations filled with both strength and sweetness\, which narrate and express the stature of the two main figures in the narrative of the Cross\, Christ – Man and Mary – Woman. These intonations are entrusted not only to the voices but also to the specific timbre of wind and string instruments with evocative sound\, contemporary to the proposed repertoire. \nSo the meditation becomes more intense\, relating the listener to a historical time in which both vocal and instrumental music\, understood in their indispensable utility for the spiritual life of man\, were also an integral part of the ritual\, making for an absolute moment of worship\, a sure nourishment for the soul.

SUMMARY:There's no calm after the storm
DESCRIPTION:An extreme weather event struck northeastern Italy in October 2018. The sirocco blew at speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour in the Dolomite valleys\, toppling around 14 million trees. The incessant rain caused streams to overflow\, dragging logs and debris downstream. \n In the course of a night\, the residents of several mountain communities in Trentino\, Veneto\, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia found their cellars flooded and their houses stripped of roofs by the wind. \nSix years later\, the consequences of the Vaia storm are still visible and tangible. Many trees remain on the ground\, as collecting them is a complex operation that requires experience and resources. Their wood feeds the bark beetle\, a parasitic insect that moves from dead plants to those still standing\, causing damage six times greater than that of the storm. \nFurthermore\, the fallen trees no longer serve their protective function against landslides and avalanches\, and the damaged beds of the streams are no longer able to channel and contain the water. As experts and locals roll up their sleeves to restore normalcy\, the overall economic damage has been estimated at over three billion euros. Storms have always been part of the history of the forests\, but global warming is amplifying their scale and frequency. \n With a documentary approach and in dialogue with elements of scientific research and archives\, There’s No Calm After the Storm investigates the long-term consequences of the Vaia storm. The project aims to analyze what happened with the time necessary to reflect on causes\, consequences\, and future perspectives\, raising public awareness about the issue of climate emergency and the fragile balance between human action and the integrity of ecosystems. \nInauguration Friday\, September 12 at 6:00 PMExhibition on the long-term consequences of Vaia

SUMMARY:Fiera dell'oggetto ritrovato
DESCRIPTION: Market focused on the theme of reuse\, recycling\, and restoration \nAmong the numerous exhibitions ranging from flea markets to antique markets in Veneto\, the Fiera dell’oggetto ritrovato held in the historic center of Feltre on the second Sunday of the month\, from April to December\, stands out for its focus on the themes of reuse\, recycling\, and restoration. \nIn the stalls between Piazza Maggiore and via Mezzaterra\, there are those who sell\, those who exchange\, those who enhance\, and those who simply want to give things a second life. \nYou’ll find items for sale of all kinds and from all eras: from antiques to modern collectibles to second-hand goods. From porcelain to vintage clothes\, from records to wooden boxes\, from tools used by our grandparents to coins… there’s something for everyone! \nThe stalls and gazebos are surrounded by frescoed buildings and the imposing medieval structure of the Castle of Alboino; the beautiful Teatro de la Sena (closed for restoration)\, an original miniature of the more famous Gran Teatro la Fenice in Venice\, the Carlo Rizzarda Modern Art Gallery\, the Civic Museum\, and the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art are all worth a visit\, conveniently located in the historic center and with very low entrance fees.

SUMMARY:Museo regionale dell'Uomo in Cansiglio e Centro etnografico e di cultura cimbra
DESCRIPTION:Program for Sunday\, September 14:At 3:00 PM guided tour of the museum “Cartography of Cansiglio”. \nOpening hours:from June 1 to September 30: Thursday and Friday 2 PM – 6 PM // Saturday\, Sunday\, and holidays 10 AM – 12:30 PM and 2 PM – 6 PM.Open year-round for groups upon request. \nCansiglio is a pre-Alpine plateau located between the provinces of Belluno\, Treviso\, and Pordenone. With its characteristic basin shape\, it is a true paradise for hiking due to its forest\, which is the second largest in Italy. Within this territory\, there is an ethnic Cimbrian settlement dating back to the early 1800s. Of German origin\, this population comes from Roana\, one of the seven municipalities of the Vicentine plateau\, which settled here due to the rich beech forests\, a plant species suitable for craftsmanship.Currently\, the villages of Campon and Pian Osteria are inhabited by the Cimbri\, while traces of some typical structures remain in Le Rotte\, Vallorch\, I Pich\, Pian Canaie\, Canaie\, Pian dei Lovi\, and Valbona. The historical building of Pian Osteria houses the ethnographic museum and Cimbrian culture; it is open every day from June 15 to September 15 and can be visited by reservation in other periods of the year. Among the sections\, the first is dedicated to wood processing; the second is dedicated to the artisanal activities of the Cimbri; the third is dedicated to the library and the screening of videos about the Cansiglio and Cimbrian culture\, its history\, and its legends. Finally\, the good table: the restaurants in Cansiglio also offer Cimbrian recipes passed down through generations. \nInformation at the number 333 3513668 or via email at francescoazzalini@libero.it.
