DESCRIPTION:Snail Lucilla\, an enterprising character from the snail community\, like all of them loves slowness and wants to explain to everyone\, slowly\, that slowness is interesting\, beautiful\, and full of surprises! \nCaptivated by the story\, the audience’s presence\, and especially by the children\, she will show that those who go slowly\, very very slowly can then find themselves going fast\, indeed super fast. \nA show full of twists\, with comedic juggling acts and a soapy grand finale. The artist uses the character of the Snail as a pretext to share with the audience the beauty of slowness\, of playing with the little everyday things\, creating poetry even with a simple sheet of paper. \nThe fun is created in the alternation of moments of sweetness and sudden surprise. \nA theatrical performance with acting and juggling by and with Gianfranco Gallo\, costumes by Maria Elena de Villaris. \nThe event is part of the “Countries\, Stories\, and Children” festival\, which involves the municipalities of the Province of Treviso\, Belluno\, Padua\, and Venice. \nThe more shows you attend\, the more prizes you will win! DESCRIPTION:Free guided tours for everyone \nReturns “In the Park with Mom and Dad“\, the Environmental Education program in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park with guided excursions offering many environmental education and sustainability insights for children and families in many wonderful places in the Park. \n  For the summer\, activities are proposed in many known and lesser-known places and trails of the Park\, all with special and important characteristics.  You will discover the Valle del Mis with the splendid “Cadini del Brentòn“\, a sequence of 15 deep cavities carved by the waters of the Brentòn stream; the Val Canzoi with its natural biodiversity; the Val di Zoldo with forests rich in legends; meadows and thickets of Salet\, where the Forest Company is present with beautiful horses\, and where there are many wild animals nearby such as frogs\, toads\, deer\, and roe deer. \n  The park is characterized by a great variety of environments: from the riparian areas in the valley bottom to the rocky walls at high altitudes\, passing through broadleaf forests\, coniferous forests\, high-altitude shrublands\, meadows\, and scree.   Participation in activities is free.  \nMost of the itineraries are easy proposals for everyone: families with children\, adults-seniors\, people with disabilities or those who have difficulties walking\, and also for those who are lazy and love to visit special and beautiful places without too much effort.  \n  The Dolomiti Bellunesi always offer routes\, discoveries\, and surprises for everyone! \n \nThe morning excursions have a maximum number of participants\, and it is recommended to register at least two days in advance at the email address guide.pndb@gmail.com or by calling or sending a message (WhatsApp\, Telegram\, or SMS) to 3290040808. The response from the Mazarol Secretariat will serve as confirmation that you are registered for the excursion! Between Two Worlds\, a Story. that will take place on Friday\, July 25\, 2025 at 8:45 PM in the conference room of the Ethnographic Museum Dolomites. \n \nSCREENING OF THE DOCU-FILM “ITALIAN LEGACY” BY MÁRCIA MONTEIRO \n \n“Italian Legacy” by Márcia Monteiro is a documentary that tells the story\, present\, and future of Trentino and Venetian emigration in the southern mountainous region of Serra Gaúcha in Brazil through the voices of the Italian-Brazilian communities of Rio Grande do Sul\, focusing on linguistic\, cultural influences\, and those related to a typically Italian product: wine. \nThe docu-film won the Rai Award at the 69th Trento Film Festival with the following motivation: «the film is a white glove on one side and black on the reverse. The first portrays generations of lumberjacks and farmers who deforested and cultivated the forests\, growing vines and producing the wine that is now the pride of Brazil. Their legacy is both a product and a message. The other side tells the story of people who suffered abuse\, at home and abroad\, crossing the Atlantic in search of a better future. The film narrates stories of courage and success but also of exploitation and is very relevant today: it is enough\, in fact\, to change the color of one’s skin\, to cross the Mediterranean Sea instead of the Atlantic Ocean\, to find similar stories\, whose legacy will certainly be with us in the near future. Rich in significant testimonies\, the film ends with a thread of regret for the choice of many young people to leave the countryside for the cities. An opportunity to appreciate history\, beautiful images\, interviews\, and\, above all\, to “reflect”».

Between Two Worlds\, a Story. that will take place on Friday\, July 25\, 2025 at 8:45 PM in the conference room of the Ethnographic Museum Dolomites. \n \nSCREENING OF THE DOCU-FILM “ITALIAN LEGACY” BY MÁRCIA MONTEIRO \n \n“Italian Legacy” by Márcia Monteiro is a documentary that tells the story\, present\, and future of Trentino and Venetian emigration in the southern mountainous region of Serra Gaúcha in Brazil through the voices of the Italian-Brazilian communities of Rio Grande do Sul\, focusing on linguistic\, cultural influences\, and those related to a typically Italian product: wine. \nThe docu-film won the Rai Award at the 69th Trento Film Festival with the following motivation: «the film is a white glove on one side and black on the reverse. The first portrays generations of lumberjacks and farmers who deforested and cultivated the forests\, growing vines and producing the wine that is now the pride of Brazil. Their legacy is both a product and a message. The other side tells the story of people who suffered abuse\, at home and abroad\, crossing the Atlantic in search of a better future. The film narrates stories of courage and success but also of exploitation and is very relevant today: it is enough\, in fact\, to change the color of one’s skin\, to cross the Mediterranean Sea instead of the Atlantic Ocean\, to find similar stories\, whose legacy will certainly be with us in the near future. Rich in significant testimonies\, the film ends with a thread of regret for the choice of many young people to leave the countryside for the cities. An opportunity to appreciate history\, beautiful images\, interviews\, and\, above all\, to “reflect”».

The characteristics of lagoon constructions \nThe presentation will illustrate some salient features of Venetian construction art: the materials\, techniques\, construction procedures\, the devices and executive expedients applied by the workers in the erection of the lagoon structures will be related to the distributive and formal aspects of the buildings\, highlighting the interdependent relationships between the construction data\, functional organization\, and the architecture language.  \nMARIO PIANA\, graduated in 1974 from the University Institute of Architecture in Venice\, worked as an architect at the Superintendency for the B.A.A. of Venice from 1979 to 1998\, serving as Acting Superintendent in 1981-82.  \nAs a UNESCO consultant in 1990 and 1994\, he assisted local teams engaged in the restoration of several churches in Quito (Ecuador) damaged by an earthquake\, and in 1996\, he collaborated on the drafting of the structural consolidation project for the fortress of San Juan de Ulùa in Veracruz (Mexico).  \nA teacher of Architectural Restoration from 1998 to 2022 at the IUAV University of Venice\, he was Director of the first three years of the specialization school in architectural and landscape heritage. Since 2010\, he has been part of the faculty board of the PhD in architectural history.  \nAuthor of numerous publications dedicated to restoration themes and the history of lagoon construction techniques\, he has been a member of the Scientific Council of CISA since 2004 and a member of the Veneto Institute of Sciences\, Letters\, and Arts since 2018. He is currently the proto of St. Mark’s Basilica.  \nHe has designed and directed numerous restoration projects; among them\, the Grimani Palace at S. M. Formosa\, the Contarini del Bovolo staircase\, the castle of Rovigo\, the Gaggiandre of the Arsenal\, the Peristyle\, the Tablino\, and the Ovate Staircase of the Convent of Charity\, the cathedral of Torcello\, the basilicas of Frari and Salute\, and the churches of S. Giorgio Maggiore and S. M. dei Miracoli.  \nHe is the author of over a hundred publications dedicated to restoration themes and the history of construction techniques.  \nMELISSA CONN is the director of the Venice office of Save Venice and has been working for the organization since 1989. With 36 years of experience in Venetian art history and restoration\, Melissa oversees all of the organization’s conservation projects in Venice and is responsible for Save Venice’s conservation pathway “Women Artists of Venice.”  \nConn regularly gives lectures in Italy and the United States on Save Venice projects.
