Punctuality is recommended. \nFor information: www.rheticus.it \nSummer in Starson \nSummer in Starson begins Saturday\, July 5  at 9 PM with Instruments and Methods of Visual Observation. Astronomy is a complex discipline that encompasses numerous specializations. The meeting on July 5 will be dedicated to visual observation\, explored in depth from every aspect: from the choice of the most suitable equipment (telescopes\, eyepieces\, mounts\, optical\, mechanical\, and electronic support accessories) to the planning of an observational session\, including the correct methods of transport\, maintenance\, and preservation of scientific instruments\, essential for exploring the visible universe. The meeting will be led by Dr. Zeno Vendrame\, a member of the Feltrina Astronomical Association Rheticus\, specializing in visual observation\, in which he boasts over twenty-six years of experience with a wide range of instruments. \nContinuing Saturday\, July 12  at 9 PM with Finding the Way in the Sky (evening for children). The lesson will take place at the planetarium where the children\, with the help of just two key constellations\, using the method of stellar alignments\, will be guided to progressively recognize first the most prominent stars and constellations\, then gradually those that are fainter and more difficult. During the identification\, the most captivating stories regarding the found constellations will be narrated. If the weather is nice\, outdoors\, the children will try to rediscover the constellations they discovered at the planetarium. There will also be just enough time to show some deep sky objects through the telescope before the spectacular lunar rise at 10:50 PM\, which will conclude the evening. In case of bad weather\, the evening will conclude at the planetarium\, with a view of the southern hemisphere constellations\, not visible at our latitudes. The evening will be conducted by Gabriele Vanin\, from the Association Rheticus. A pass of the SSI will also be visible. Cute astronomical gadgets will be gifted to the little guests. \nThe program will continue Saturday\, July 19  at 9 PM with Antimatter. Antimatter often appears in science fiction stories and books\, so much so that the general public is often unaware that this is a subject of intense experimental research and great utility even for the average person. On this evening\, we will retrace the steps that led to postulating its existence\, its discovery\, and the study of its properties. We will then discuss the role played by antimatter in the early moments of the Universe’s existence and the questions that still await answers. The speaker will be Alessandro Gaz\, associate professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Padua and a long-time member of the Association Rheticus. Two passes of the SSI and one of Tiangong\, the Chinese space station\, will also be visible. \nWe will conclude Saturday\, July 26  at 9 PM  with an evening dedicated to astronomy enthusiasts (free admission).

DESCRIPTION:All activities are free and open access\, but registration is mandatory \n Immerse yourself in biodiversity through excursions and thematic workshops \nThe Municipality of Feltre presents the SIAMO NATURA project!\, designed for everyone with a focus on the younger generation\, to truly connect with our wonderful mountains and the flourishing garden of possibilities and wonders they offer. \n A unique opportunity to rediscover the deep bond between humanity and nature through excursions\,  trekking\,  workshops\, and residential activities dedicated to the youth\, led by expert environmental nature guides. \n The project will involve the Vincheto Nature Reserve\, managed by the Carabinieri Biodiversity Department of Belluno: a protected oasis according to the Ramsar Convention\, of international importance situated on the right bank of the Piave River.  Established in 1971\, it encompasses 92 hectares of wetlands with standing and flowing water\, riparian forests\, meadows\, and shrub lands. \n  Through guided tours\, participants will learn about the history\, biodiversity\, and significance of the natural site and its relationship with water. \n We will observe the waters\, the great trees\, the rocks and pebbles\, flowers\, and birds as inhabitants of the area\, recounting how humans have interacted with nature by cultivating trees\, gathering reeds\, and building mills. \n The guided tours of the reserve and half-day excursions are easy walks aimed at adults and families with children starting from 6 years old. \n Full-day excursions are aimed at adults and families with teenagers starting from 10 years old.

DESCRIPTION:It is recommended to bring a blanket\, a medium-weight jacket\, insect repellent\, sunscreen\, and a sun hat to use before and during the concert. \nAnother small tip: being at about 1400 meters above sea level\, the weather can be unpredictable. It is essential to also bring sweatshirts or windbreakers: temperatures can drop rapidly\, even in summer! \nAttention: tents or gazebos for shade are not allowed\, but you can bring small umbrellas that must be closed at the start of the performance. \n For more information on access methods and parking\, you can consult the map at the following link. \nThe hour of “Dolomiti Arena – Slow Mountains Music Festival” has arrived! \nThis summer\, Valbelluna will offer you four free concerts in its most beautiful panoramic locations. This unmissable event will enliven the months of June\, July\, and August\, providing a unique musical experience for everyone who wishes to participate. \nThe series of events\, made possible by the tourist tax funds from the Feltrina Mountain Union and Border Funds\, is aimed at enhancing our extraordinary mountain territory through concerts in iconic locations in the Dolomites. But it’s not just about music: the festival aims to collaborate with local actors to offer a complete and engaging experience that goes far beyond the concert. \nThe second date in the program will take place on July 19 at 5:00 PM in the Campet area on Mount Avena\, bordering three towns in the Belluno province: Pedavena\, Fonzaso\, and Sovramonte\, more precisely near Malga Campet\, featuring MALIKA AYANE. \nTHE EVENT IS FREE AND NO RESERVATION IS REQUIRED. \nThe concert area will be accessible exclusively on foot (shuttle service is not provided). \nAccess to the parking areas and concert area is only possible from the Col Melon junction with SS. 473 (Pedavena – Croce d’Aune)\, heading towards Mount Avena\, in one-way uphill direction. Therefore\, it is NOT possible to reach the Campet area from Passo Croce d’Aune. \nThe parking areas will be located at the Chalet “Alle Buse\,” which is about 1 km from the concert area\, and along the roadside heading towards Croce d’Aune with a distance of 2 to 3 km from the area. \nFor those parking at Chalet “Alle Buse\,” there is the option to hike along the trail that leads directly to Malga Campet\, approximately 1 km long with an elevation gain of about 200m. For those parking roadside towards Croce d’Aune\, they can ascend along the municipal road from the “Casera dei Boschi” Farmhouse\, leading to the grazing areas of Campet and Campon\, which varies from 2 to 3 km (depending on where one manages to park) and also with an elevation gain of 200m. \nPlease follow and respect the instructions from the on-site staff. Additionally\, it is advisable to consider the timing related to possible local traffic and the distance to be walked to reach the concert area before the start time. \nThe disabled parking will\, instead\, be accessible only and exclusively by reservation. Limited spots. A request must be sent via email with the name\, details about the disability tag\, and license plate number to dolomitiarena22@gmail.com. Reservations for disabled parking will close on Friday\, July 18\, 2025\, at 12:00 PM or until spots are filled. \nMountain clothing is strongly recommended and smoking is strictly prohibited in the concert area\, as well as bringing glass bottles. DESCRIPTION:There are eight stories finalists in the 35th edition of the Trichiana Paese del Libro Literary Prize that will now pass into the hands of the jury\, led by writer Marco Balzano\, who will determine the final ranking.  \nThe festival associated with the Prize expands this year with a series of proposals for children and their families.  \nIt starts on Friday\, July 11 at 8:30 PM at the Barchessa of the Palazzo delle Contesse in Mel (Auditorium of San Piero in case of bad weather) with the puppet show The Strange Lunch of Hansel and Gretel\, a sparkling version of the famous fairy tale\, told through puppets and animated dolls by the company “La casa degli Gnomi.”  \nFollowing this\, on Friday\, July 18 at 8:30 PM in Piazzetta Saubens in Trichiana (Cinema San Felice in case of bad weather)\, the show Captains to the Boarding will be presented\, a narrated and animated performance that dives into ancient stories inhabited by deities and sea monsters\, wrecks\, storms\, and mysteries.  \nThis year the Festival will also host a preliminary stage leading to the ninth Reading Marathon Il Veneto legge\, which takes place every year at the beginning of October. Indeed\, on Sunday\, July 13 at 5:00 PM there will be a silent reading party followed by readings organized by the group Leggere per leggere and a brief convivial moment immersed in the beauty of the Prelapi. The stage involves a slow approach on foot to then gather in a suggestive place for reading.  \nFor comic book lovers\, on Saturday\, July 19 at 6:00 PM in Piazzetta Saubens (Cinema San Felice in case of bad weather)\, there will be a meeting with Francesco Matteuzzi\, author\, together with Luca Debus\, of the comic biography of Charles M. The evening will be held with the support of Raffaello Cortina Editore.  \nOn Tuesday\, July 22 at 8:30 PM at the garden of the Palazzo Nuovo Oratorio in Lentiai (indoors in case of rain)\, there will be a meeting with the writer Maria Grazia Calandrone\, author of works including Where You Didn’t Take Me and Magnificent and Terrible Was Love. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Belluno Donna Association.  \nOn Friday\, July 25 at the garden of Villa Piloni in Carfagnoi\, Trichiana (Sala San Felice in case of rain)\, Marco Balzano\, award-winning writer of the Campiello Prize and candidate for the Strega Prize\, will present his latest novel Child in which the author recovers the great civil theme of the memory and identity of a civilization marked by the horrors of war\, through a complex character that presents a thousand facets.  \nOn Saturday\, July 26 at 6:00 PM at the garden of Villa Piloni in Carfagnoi (Sala San Felice in case of bad weather)\, the awards ceremony for the 35th edition of the National Literary Prize Trichiana Paese del Libro will take place. Astronomy is a complex discipline that encompasses numerous specializations. The meeting on July 5 will be dedicated to visual observation\, explored in depth from every aspect: from the choice of the most suitable equipment (telescopes\, eyepieces\, mounts\, optical\, mechanical\, and electronic support accessories) to the planning of an observational session\, including the correct methods of transport\, maintenance\, and preservation of scientific instruments\, essential for exploring the visible universe. The meeting will be led by Dr. Zeno Vendrame\, a member of the Feltrina Astronomical Association Rheticus\, specializing in visual observation\, in which he boasts over twenty-six years of experience with a wide range of instruments. \nContinuing Saturday\, July 12  at 9 PM with Finding the Way in the Sky (evening for children). The lesson will take place at the planetarium where the children\, with the help of just two key constellations\, using the method of stellar alignments\, will be guided to progressively recognize first the most prominent stars and constellations\, then gradually those that are fainter and more difficult. During the identification\, the most captivating stories regarding the found constellations will be narrated. If the weather is nice\, outdoors\, the children will try to rediscover the constellations they discovered at the planetarium. There will also be just enough time to show some deep sky objects through the telescope before the spectacular lunar rise at 10:50 PM\, which will conclude the evening. In case of bad weather\, the evening will conclude at the planetarium\, with a view of the southern hemisphere constellations\, not visible at our latitudes. The evening will be conducted by Gabriele Vanin\, from the Association Rheticus. A pass of the SSI will also be visible. Cute astronomical gadgets will be gifted to the little guests. \nThe program will continue Saturday\, July 19  at 9 PM with Antimatter. Antimatter often appears in science fiction stories and books\, so much so that the general public is often unaware that this is a subject of intense experimental research and great utility even for the average person. On this evening\, we will retrace the steps that led to postulating its existence\, its discovery\, and the study of its properties. We will then discuss the role played by antimatter in the early moments of the Universe’s existence and the questions that still await answers. The speaker will be Alessandro Gaz\, associate professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Padua and a long-time member of the Association Rheticus. Two passes of the SSI and one of Tiangong\, the Chinese space station\, will also be visible. \nWe will conclude Saturday\, July 26  at 9 PM  with an evening dedicated to astronomy enthusiasts (free admission).

DESCRIPTION:All activities are free and open access\, but registration is mandatory \n Immerse yourself in biodiversity through excursions and thematic workshops \nThe Municipality of Feltre presents the SIAMO NATURA project!\, designed for everyone with a focus on the younger generation\, to truly connect with our wonderful mountains and the flourishing garden of possibilities and wonders they offer. \n A unique opportunity to rediscover the deep bond between humanity and nature through excursions\,  trekking\,  workshops\, and residential activities dedicated to the youth\, led by expert environmental nature guides. \n The project will involve the Vincheto Nature Reserve\, managed by the Carabinieri Biodiversity Department of Belluno: a protected oasis according to the Ramsar Convention\, of international importance situated on the right bank of the Piave River.  Established in 1971\, it encompasses 92 hectares of wetlands with standing and flowing water\, riparian forests\, meadows\, and shrub lands. \n  Through guided tours\, participants will learn about the history\, biodiversity\, and significance of the natural site and its relationship with water. \n We will observe the waters\, the great trees\, the rocks and pebbles\, flowers\, and birds as inhabitants of the area\, recounting how humans have interacted with nature by cultivating trees\, gathering reeds\, and building mills. \n The guided tours of the reserve and half-day excursions are easy walks aimed at adults and families with children starting from 6 years old. \n Full-day excursions are aimed at adults and families with teenagers starting from 10 years old.

It is essential to also bring sweatshirts or windbreakers: temperatures can drop rapidly\, even in summer! \nAttention: tents or gazebos for shade are not allowed\, but you can bring small umbrellas that must be closed at the start of the performance. \n For more information on access methods and parking\, you can consult the map at the following link. \nThe time has come for the “Dolomiti Arena – Slow Mountains Music Festival”! \nThis summer\, Valbelluna will gift you four free concerts at its most beautiful panoramic terraces. This unmissable event will enliven the months of June\, July\, and August\, offering a unique musical experience to everyone who wishes to participate. \nThe event series\, made possible thanks to the tourist tax funds of the Unione Montana Feltrina and Border Funds\, was created with the intention of enhancing our extraordinary mountain territory through concerts in iconic locations of the Dolomites. But it’s not just about music: the series aims to collaborate with local actors to offer a complete and engaging experience that goes well beyond the concert. \nThe second scheduled date will be on July 19 at 5:00 PM in the Campet area on Monte Avena\, near the three municipalities of Pedavena\, Fonzaso\, and Sovramonte\, more precisely near Malga Campet\, featuring  MALIKA AYANE. \nTHE EVENT IS FREE AND NO RESERVATION IS REQUIRED. \nThe concert area will be accessible exclusively on foot (there is no shuttle service). \nAccess to the parking areas and the concert area is only possible from the junction of Col Melon with SS. 473 (Pedavena – Croce d’Aune)\, in the direction of Monte Avena\, one way uphill. Therefore\, it is NOT possible to reach the Campet area from Passo Croce d’Aune. \nThe parking lots will be located at the Chalet “Alle Buse\,” which is about 1 km from the concert area\, and further down the road in the direction of Croce d’Aune\, with a distance of 2 to 3 km from the area. \nFor those parking at Chalet “Alle Buse\,” there is the possibility of walking along the path that leads directly to Malga Campet\, approximately 1 km long with an altitude difference of about 200m. For those parking along the road in the direction of Croce d’Aune\, they can walk up the municipal road that leads from Agriturismo “Casera dei Boschi” to the alpine hut areas of Campet and Campon\, with a length varying from 2 to 3 km (depending on where one can park) and always with a 200m altitude difference. \nPlease follow and respect the directions of the staff on site. Additionally\, it is advisable to take into account the timing related to possible local traffic and the distance to walk to reach the concert area before the start time. \nThe disabled parking\, however\, will be available only and exclusively by reservation. Limited spots. An email must be sent with the name\, details about the disability badge\, and license plate number to dolomitiarena22@gmail.com. Reservations for disabled parking will close on Friday\, July 18\, 2025\, at 12:00 PM or until spots run out. \nMountain clothing is strongly recommended and smoking is strictly prohibited in the concert area and bringing glass bottles is also banned. DESCRIPTION:There are eight stories finalists in the 35th edition of the Trichiana Paese del Libro Literary Prize that will now pass into the hands of the jury\, led by writer Marco Balzano\, who will determine the final ranking.  \nThe festival associated with the Prize expands this year with a series of proposals for children and their families.  \nIt starts on Friday\, July 11 at 8:30 PM at the Barchessa of the Palazzo delle Contesse in Mel (Auditorium of San Piero in case of bad weather) with the puppet show The Strange Lunch of Hansel and Gretel\, a sparkling version of the famous fairy tale\, told through puppets and animated dolls by the company “La casa degli Gnomi.”  \nFollowing this\, on Friday\, July 18 at 8:30 PM in Piazzetta Saubens in Trichiana (Cinema San Felice in case of bad weather)\, the show Captains to the Boarding will be presented\, a narrated and animated performance that dives into ancient stories inhabited by deities and sea monsters\, wrecks\, storms\, and mysteries.  \nThis year the Festival will also host a preliminary stage leading to the ninth Reading Marathon Il Veneto legge\, which takes place every year at the beginning of October. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Belluno Donna Association.  \nOn Friday\, July 25 at the garden of Villa Piloni in Carfagnoi\, Trichiana (Sala San Felice in case of rain)\, Marco Balzano\, award-winning writer of the Campiello Prize and candidate for the Strega Prize\, will present his latest novel Child in which the author recovers the great civil theme of the memory and identity of a civilization marked by the horrors of war\, through a complex character that presents a thousand facets.  \nOn Saturday\, July 26 at 6:00 PM at the garden of Villa Piloni in Carfagnoi (Sala San Felice in case of bad weather)\, the awards ceremony for the 35th edition of the National Literary Prize Trichiana Paese del Libro will take place. The awards will be accompanied by a jazz concert curated by the trio gli In-jazzati\, during the evenings the groups Facciamo Centro and Il lettore sostenibile (Together We Can) will be present with a stall of used books waiting for new readers to give them their stories.  \nBooks and authors in Borgo Valbelluna.

Punctuality is recommended. \nFor information: www.rheticus.it \nSummer in Starson \nSummer in Starson begins Saturday\, July 5  at 9 PM with Instruments and Methods of Visual Observation. Astronomy is a complex discipline that encompasses numerous specializations. The meeting on July 5 will be dedicated to visual observation\, explored in depth from every aspect: from the choice of the most suitable equipment (telescopes\, eyepieces\, mounts\, optical\, mechanical\, and electronic support accessories) to the planning of an observational session\, including the correct methods of transport\, maintenance\, and preservation of scientific instruments\, essential for exploring the visible universe. The meeting will be led by Dr. Zeno Vendrame\, a member of the Feltrina Astronomical Association Rheticus\, specializing in visual observation\, in which he boasts over twenty-six years of experience with a wide range of instruments. \nContinuing Saturday\, July 12  at 9 PM with Finding the Way in the Sky (evening for children). The lesson will take place at the planetarium where the children\, with the help of just two key constellations\, using the method of stellar alignments\, will be guided to progressively recognize first the most prominent stars and constellations\, then gradually those that are fainter and more difficult. During the identification\, the most captivating stories regarding the found constellations will be narrated. If the weather is nice\, outdoors\, the children will try to rediscover the constellations they discovered at the planetarium. There will also be just enough time to show some deep sky objects through the telescope before the spectacular lunar rise at 10:50 PM\, which will conclude the evening. In case of bad weather\, the evening will conclude at the planetarium\, with a view of the southern hemisphere constellations\, not visible at our latitudes. The evening will be conducted by Gabriele Vanin\, from the Association Rheticus. A pass of the SSI will also be visible. Cute astronomical gadgets will be gifted to the little guests. \nThe program will continue Saturday\, July 19  at 9 PM with Antimatter. Antimatter often appears in science fiction stories and books\, so much so that the general public is often unaware that this is a subject of intense experimental research and great utility even for the average person. On this evening\, we will retrace the steps that led to postulating its existence\, its discovery\, and the study of its properties. We will then discuss the role played by antimatter in the early moments of the Universe’s existence and the questions that still await answers. The speaker will be Alessandro Gaz\, associate professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Padua and a long-time member of the Association Rheticus. Two passes of the SSI and one of Tiangong\, the Chinese space station\, will also be visible. \nWe will conclude Saturday\, July 26  at 9 PM  with an evening dedicated to astronomy enthusiasts (free admission).
