SUMMARY:Premio Letterario Nazionale “Trichiana Paese del Libro”
DESCRIPTION:There are eight stories finalists in the 35th edition of the Trichiana Paese del Libro Literary Prize that will now pass into the hands of the jury\, led by writer Marco Balzano\, who will determine the final ranking.  \nThe festival associated with the Prize expands this year with a series of proposals for children and their families.  \nIt starts on Friday\, July 11 at 8:30 PM at the Barchessa of the Palazzo delle Contesse in Mel (Auditorium of San Piero in case of bad weather) with the puppet show The Strange Lunch of Hansel and Gretel\, a sparkling version of the famous fairy tale\, told through puppets and animated dolls by the company “La casa degli Gnomi.”  \nFollowing this\, on Friday\, July 18 at 8:30 PM in Piazzetta Saubens in Trichiana (Cinema San Felice in case of bad weather)\, the show Captains to the Boarding will be presented\, a narrated and animated performance that dives into ancient stories inhabited by deities and sea monsters\, wrecks\, storms\, and mysteries.  \nThis year the Festival will also host a preliminary stage leading to the ninth Reading Marathon Il Veneto legge\, which takes place every year at the beginning of October. Indeed\, on Sunday\, July 13 at 5:00 PM there will be a silent reading party followed by readings organized by the group Leggere per leggere and a brief convivial moment immersed in the beauty of the Prelapi. The stage involves a slow approach on foot to then gather in a suggestive place for reading.  \nFor comic book lovers\, on Saturday\, July 19 at 6:00 PM in Piazzetta Saubens (Cinema San Felice in case of bad weather)\, there will be a meeting with Francesco Matteuzzi\, author\, together with Luca Debus\, of the comic biography of Charles M. Schulz titled Funny Things.  \nOn Monday\, July 21 at 8:30 PM at the garden of Villa Francescon\, Auditorium of San Piero in case of bad weather\, Senator Elena Cattaneo will be a guest with her book Scientists. Stories of Life and Research. The evening will be held with the support of Raffaello Cortina Editore.  \nOn Tuesday\, July 22 at 8:30 PM at the garden of the Palazzo Nuovo Oratorio in Lentiai (indoors in case of rain)\, there will be a meeting with the writer Maria Grazia Calandrone\, author of works including Where You Didn’t Take Me and Magnificent and Terrible Was Love. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Belluno Donna Association.  \nOn Friday\, July 25 at the garden of Villa Piloni in Carfagnoi\, Trichiana (Sala San Felice in case of rain)\, Marco Balzano\, award-winning writer of the Campiello Prize and candidate for the Strega Prize\, will present his latest novel Child in which the author recovers the great civil theme of the memory and identity of a civilization marked by the horrors of war\, through a complex character that presents a thousand facets.  \nOn Saturday\, July 26 at 6:00 PM at the garden of Villa Piloni in Carfagnoi (Sala San Felice in case of bad weather)\, the awards ceremony for the 35th edition of the National Literary Prize Trichiana Paese del Libro will take place. The awards will be accompanied by a jazz concert curated by the trio gli In-jazzati\, during the evenings the groups Facciamo Centro and Il lettore sostenibile (Together We Can) will be present with a stall of used books waiting for new readers to give them their stories.  \nBooks and authors in Borgo Valbelluna.

Along the eastern slope of Sasso Nero\, the younger brother of Sasso Bianco\, we cross the almost uninhabited villages of Bramezza and Caracoi\, where we discover interesting architectural peculiarities\, perhaps linked to a possible use of the villages as a penal colony of the Serenissima. In the beautiful setting of Passo Giau\, we walk the mule tracks through meadows and huts in search of plants\, one of which is the flowering mountain arnica. Then\, we climb to the top of Monte Corvo Alto\, where the breathtaking panorama of the valleys and the plains below is unforgettable. After a stop at Lake Baste\, we return to the pass. The arrival rewards us with a magnificent view of the Civetta mountain range\, lush forests\, and unforgettable glimpses of the wild Dolomites\, once frequented only by hunters and lumberjacks. The menu features a classic and hearty offering: pasta with ragù\, scaloppine\, and mixed side dishes. \nFollowing that will be the Festival of San Tanis. \nHowever\, it is on Sunday the 13th that the event truly comes to life with the Palio 2025: at 9:00 AM\, the Tò Vegna tournament begins\, an ancient game recently included in the games of Tocatì\, an Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. \nAt 2:30 PM\, there will be a parade of the districts in the square followed by the beginning of the palio games and the finals of Tò Vegna. \nAt 7:30 PM\, the palio will be awarded. \nAll day long in the square\, there will be inflatable games for children. \nMoreover\, during the days of the sagra\, from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM\, the exhibition “20 years of Farra football” will be open and available for viewing at the Milk Museum.

DESCRIPTION:Presentation of the catalog of the Exhibition “From the Care of the Earth to the Health of the Body and Soul\,” Elena Modena and Maurizio Tuliani curators. \nFollowing the evocative setup carried out in the cloister of the Sanctuary last summer\, late spring of 2025 brings the completion of the related catalog. \nA truly favorable time for such an important achievement\, which allows for the promotion to an even wider audience of an ancient source reinterpreted for the common good. \nA fundamental step in the face of today’s world challenges in terms of conscious knowledge\, observation and listening\, and respect for created nature and the human being. \nNot only\, therefore\, a matter of beauty\, which the illuminated Tacuinum (vindobonensis series nova 2644\, preserved at the Austrian National Library\, Vienna) from which the exhibition is drawn demonstrates in every table\, and that surprises as one browses the pages of the catalog; nor a purely philological operation\, although rich in meaning given the priceless value of the manuscript. \nNot just an artistic fact; illuminating is a fine and precious art in itself\, so capable of focusing on detail\, highlighting gesture\, emanating an atmosphere inviting one to breathe it as reality. \nIn truth\, the splendor of the Tacuinum comes from so much and from what it summarizes and transmits\, from the weight of the themes\, from the intentions in favor of life\, of which it is a true witness. \nWhat it deals with is\, in fact\, crucial: the health of man and his habitat\, both understood as a pulsating whole in symbiosis. A theme to which we must return and dwell upon\, to ignite and nourish awareness\, to respectfully create connections of knowledge\, to cultivate the common good in the concreteness of action. \nThe presentation of the catalog will take place in the form of a dialogue between word and music\, the latter being an activity prescribed in the Tacuinum for its intrinsic usefulness in balancing emotions and states of mind\, and for alleviating illnesses. \nIt will also make use of the projection of other images from the digital source\, making the proposal even more enjoyable. \nFree entry with a conscious donation.
