What objects\, what things are kept in the bottom of the bag? There will be shoes\, playing clothes\, a tracksuit\, socks\, a captain’s armband; there will be a jersey swapped with an opponent\, maps to explore the city where one has been\, souvenirs to bring to those who stayed home waiting\, local crafts\, a doll\, a jar of camphor to soothe sore muscles…In the suitcases recovered from the wreckage of the FIAT G.212 airplane that crashed on Superga on May 4\, 1949\, there were many of these things but also much more: there were the rediscovered dreams of a generation and an entire country\, ours\, that had clung to that team as one would with something salvific when everything is falling apart.Let’s imagine that on that day in ’49 nothing happened\, no tragedy; let’s turn back the calendar and leaf through the album of memories: first postcard\, second\, third\, until we find the roots and the protagonists of a page of history stuck in the eyes of memory. Names\, surnames\, places\, dates.The “Great Torino” was a postcard from a different country\, from a place where people’s suitcases contained nothing because they had been emptied by war\, they were poor and waiting to be filled again with everything: with material and essential things\, but also with vengeance\, dreams\, life. The tragic tale of the boys in maroon jerseys speaks of the shattered dreams of a generation that\, after the Second World War\, rolled up its sleeves and tried to reclaim life in a thousand different ways. One of these was surely sport\, first cycling then football\, thanks to the Torino that everyone loved\, from north to south. There was a hunger for life and for trust in something from which to start rebuilding. And there was also a thirst for revenge\, for victories\, for pride trampled for too long and ended up underfoot. In a resigned picture\, it was sport that provided some support to the entire country.For this reason\, when the sky swallowed the “Invincibles” in maroon jerseys\, everything came crashing down; it was a grief so powerful that it erased any hope for the future for many Italians. DESCRIPTION:Entry 5 euros\, free for members and children under 11 years old.  \nIn May\, you can look forward to a rich program at the “Giuliano Vanin” Astronomical Center in Arson! \nSaturday\, May 3: an evening dedicated to the Moon. It will be quite an exceptional moment\, because to the best of the writer’s memory\, there has never been an opportunity in over forty years of public access to our observatories to admire the Apollo 11 landing area with the Moon this high. In addition to the entire Sea of Tranquility\, the eastern shore of the Sea of Serenity with the craters Posidonius and Plinius\, the wonderful complex on the western edge of the Sea of Nectar formed by the craters Teophilus\, Cyrillus\, and Catharina\, and further south the complex of the craters Pitiscus\, Hommel\, and Vlacq will also be visible. Through the telescope\, the blue star Regulus and the beautiful double stars Iota Cancri and Algieba will also be showcased. In case of bad weather\, the best moon landscape videos collected by the members corresponding to that evening’s phase will be projected in the planetarium\, in addition to showing the sky of the month and full-dome videos about the Moon. \nSaturday\, May 10: an evening dedicated to the little ones at the planetarium. Children will have various types of metal marbles\, tennis balls\, and balloons at their disposal to represent the sizes of the different planets. Then\, they will build a model together with the sun at the center and eight concentric circles representing the orbits of the planets. The planets will be made to move simulating their different speeds. Then\, with the help of the planetarium\, they will be able to see directly in the sky how the planets move in reality\, how they appear when viewed up close in space\, and have a very realistic view of their relative sizes\, even in relation to the Sun. If the weather is nice\, the Moon will still be observable in the sky. In its waxing phase\, with the craters John Herschel\, Anaximander\, and Pythagoras prominently displayed\, Mount Rumkor\, full of lunar domes\, and the craters Cavalerius\, Hevelius\, Schickard\, Wargentin\, and Phocylides will also be visible. Additionally\, two extraordinarily bright passes of the International Space Station will be observable. \nSaturday\, May 17: the explosion of the recurring nova T Coronae Borealis\, which will be visible to the naked eye. To prepare for the event\, there will be extensive discussions on this type of phenomenon\, which involves very tight double stars with very turbulent lives. From an observational point of view\, the spring galaxies will be particularly admired\, such as Bode and the Cigarette in Ursa Major\, the Needle and the Black Eye in Coma Berenices\, and the Sombrero in Virgo. There will be two more brilliant passes of the ISS. \nSaturday\, May 24: Dr. Gianluigi Zanola will speak on a highly topical scientific subject\, namely how much we truly know about the minds of animals and how we can speak of their consciousness\, an aspect that is intimately connected with the search for other forms of life in the universe. If the sky is clear\, the spring galaxies will again be observable\, along with the beautiful globular cluster M 3. Two more passes of the ISS will delight the evening. \nFinally\, on Saturday\, May 31\, the second of the evenings\, with free admission\, will take place for those\, members and non-members\, who want to learn to use the instruments of the Center or even bring their own and have it explained how to use it. In case of bad weather\, visitors can still ask\, indoors\, for insights about the functioning of their own instruments\, and the sky of the month will be presented in the planetarium\, with slides and videos. \nMay at the Astronomical Center

He hosts two science and new technology shows\, Quasar on Rai2 and Gigawatt on La7.He has received about ten awards for his work as a science communicator\, and over a thousand videos of his television appearances are available online.He is the author of the most viewed TED talk in Italian. \n  \nCONFERENCE: A Thousand Splendid SunsRenewable energy sources are the solution to ensure energy supply while avoiding climate-altering gas emissions.However\, currently\, they are insufficient to meet the growing demand\, and many are calling for a return to nuclear power plants\, with all the problems they entail\, from safety to waste disposal.There is\, however\, an alternative to traditional (fission) nuclear power that uses radioactive metals like uranium. DESCRIPTION:Book presentation by Margherita Graglia \nMeeting with the author Margherita Graglia\, psychologist\, psychotherapist\, sexologist\, organized by the A.GE.D.O. Treviso-Belluno Association and sponsored by the Municipality of Belluno.  Introduced by Manuela Pelizzon\, President of Agedo Treviso-Belluno In dialogue with the author Michela Fregona.  \nAgedo is an association of parents\, relatives\, and friends of LGBTQIA+ people that has been providing welcome\, listening\, and support to these individuals for over 30 years. It works in the social field to break down prejudices\, develops awareness projects within institutions\, participates in discussion tables with institutions and associations\, promotes a culture that respects diversity\, and values differences to overcome any discrimination.  \nThe theme of gender identity in adolescence is of utmost interest to parents\, educators\, professionals\, and volunteers who care for and look after young people. It is important that scientifically accurate and updated information is disseminated to the population in order to allow for constructive reflection.  The focus is on the work of Dr. Graglia\, who has recently been the protagonist of a substantial high-quality training organized by the U.O. Childhood and Adolescence Family and Consultories of ULSS 1 Dolomiti.  \nThe broad perspective on the theme of gender incongruence proposed by Dr. Graglia spans various areas: personal\, familial\, social\, educational\, ethical; therefore\, it is believed that the Author can offer the community a comprehensive\, complex\, and clarifying view that can serve as a starting point for personal reflections for everyone.

DESCRIPTION:Experiences\, sensations\, and emotions in Borgo Valbelluna. \n“Camminando (Walking) Experiences\, Sensations\, Emotions” is the first festival in the province of Belluno dedicated to walking\, exploring its countless facets. Not only hiking but also the philosophy of walking\, its literature\, and the many protagonists who promote walking not only as a means of physical and mental well-being but also as a lifestyle and a way to savor the pleasure of discovering territories rich in culture\, history\, and nature like Borgo Valbelluna\, which is perfect for promoting slow tourism. \nThe 2025 edition has already opened with an autumn preview that proposed two events that had a significant public response. The first meeting was with the ultra-trail runner Mario Piazzo and “Fatigue Makes You Happy\,” a story of how sport and walking can be a means of rediscovering oneself and experiencing strong emotions. The event with Giovanni Carraro\, who presented a preview of his new work of historical research and mapping of the trail network that crosses the villages of the foothills of Borgo Valbelluna\, was sold out. \nOn February 7th\, Daniele Matterazzo will return to the San Felice Hall in Trichiana at 8:45 pm. Daniele will recount his latest adventure in Greenland along an ancient seasonal migration route used by the Inuit since antiquity. The following day he will meet with schools. \nOn March 28th\, the cartographer-writer Luigi Farrauto will finally be a guest at the festival with his “Geographies of a Timid Traveler\,” an ironic guide to what not to do when traveling to the most remote places on earth. The presentation\, which will be held at 5:30 pm at the Palazzo delle Contesse in Mel\, will be in collaboration with the Zumellese Theater Group\, which will read some passages from the book; followed by an aperitif with the author and the opportunity to visit Cinetismo Cromatico (March 8th – May 4th)\, an exhibition of kinetic art that brings together some of the most important international artists. \nOn April 11th at 8:45 pm\, in the Auditorium San Pietro di Mel\, Camminando brings the flamenco show El Corazón al Sur to Belluno for the first time\, a story of a people’s journey to the new continent\, bringing with them their culture\, their songs\, and their dances. \nOn May 11th in Lentiai\, Disabili Incorsa and gli Spingitori Inaffidabili propose a walk accompanying and pushing people with disabilities\, sharing the experience of walking together. \nFinally\, there is great anticipation in June for the photographic exhibition by Manrico Dell’Agnola IMMENSO BLU\, which arrives in Veneto for the first time with its spectacular Antarctic landscapes reproduced in the eponymous film\, a story of an alpine-exploratory expedition that will be screened. \nThe entire festival will be enriched as always by cultural walks and tastings to discover local producers and themed dinners.

The chalet will also open throughout the summer on weekends. From here\, the walk to Malga Garda to observe the wonderful blooming and the incredible panorama over the Valbelluna and the Dolomites is about an hour and a half long with a 300m elevation gain on a mule path\, which is not particularly demanding; just have a minimum of experience walking in the mountains. \nMany surrounding initiatives are organized. Always open and visitable\, near the sports field parking\, the tour of the Laghetto della Rimonta with the works of Rimont’Arte. Also worth trying is the walk along the Path of the Frescoed Chapels that leads from Lentiai to Colderù. \nOn Sunday\, May 18 at 9:00 and 14:30\, there will be a guided tour of the daffodil meadows with an environmental hiking guide and at 18:00 a nature walk with yoga\, suitable for everyone. \nOn May 18 and 25\, it will also be possible to visit the churches of Bardies\, Colderù\, and Lentiai thanks to the volunteers of Frammenti d’Arte from 15:00 to 18:00. \nThe scheduled date of June 1st is canceled as the blooming has concluded\, see you next year!
