SUMMARY:Brasile. Tra due mondi\, una storia
DESCRIPTION:On February 21\, 2024\, the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Italian emigration to Brazil officially began\, a date that commemorates the first departure in 1874 of emigrants from Veneto\, Friuli\, and Trentino from the port of Genoa. The commemorations continue this year in the state of Rio Grande do Sul\, where on May 20\, 1875\, the first Italian immigrants arrived in Campo dos Bugres\, now known as Caxias do Sul\, and where the second largest community of Italian origin currently exists\, after that of São Paulo. \nThe Ethnographic Museum Dolomiti remembers the exodus that changed the destinies of many Belluno families and communities\, showcasing the exhibition Photos of Italian Descendants in Brazil by photographer Luis Tadeu Vilani\, which had previously been exhibited in 2003 in the Province of Belluno. \nThe Museum has dedicated an exhibition section to Italian emigration to Brazil based on historical-anthropological research conducted since 1977 by Daniela Perco and subsequently by Francesco De Melis\, Loredana Corrà\, Annamaria Seno\, Daniele Gazzi\, Giuliana Sellan\, Andrea Zannini\, and Patrizia Pizzolotto. Moreover\, the Museum preserves in its sound archive an important heritage of testimonies recorded in the so-called Italian microregion of Rio Grande do Sul. \nFor this reason\, and thanks to the valuable collaboration of Livio Benvegnù\, the Museum has decided to set up an exhibition that tells the daily life of Italian-Brazilian descendants in Rio Grande do Sul. \nPhotographic exhibition by Luis Tadeu Vilani

Also very important from a historical-social perspective are the washhouses scattered throughout the municipalities’ districts\, particularly in Castionese.

SUMMARY:Ed era tutta luce
DESCRIPTION:Giuliano Tremea – actingGastone Guerra – sax \n“A journey made of words that trace from the country paths to the routes of migrants a part of the map that Pasolini cast into the darkness of the future we are living. Synapses that find\, from the arches of the bombed bridges of the past\, in the receptors of today something distorted\, something else almost uprooted from the origins of time and from beauty now just an idea.” \n……………………………………………………… \nFor about an hour\, some texts by the poet\, a Friulian writer (nine poems and one song)\, will be recited in a performative manner\, interspersed with moments of pause and listening executed by Gastone on his own compositions and improvisations on the sax. \n……………………………………………………… \nThe texts offer various insights for developing different analytical paths: from the musical aspect related to the almost Provençal inflections of the poems in Friulian to reflections on the sudden changes from a rural and peasant society to that of the Italy of the economic boom\, to prophetic analyses of the mass movements of peoples that sixty years ago described what is now happening. \n……………………………………………………… \nGiuliano Tremea I have been primarily involved with the voice\, singing in various forms that engage me in research\, whether it be spontaneous vocality in approaching a text\, or singing that manifests in an improvisational situation. I have been and am part of: Detriti\, Pangolin Orchestra\, Dieci Ensemble and on other occasions with different formations with Eugenio Sanna\, Edoardo Ricci\, Lucio Bonaldo\, Gi Gasparin\, … and others \n……………………………………………………… \nGastone Guerra music\, from guitar\, bass … after a few years I switched to alto sax … having also used the tenor … I compose my own music but in this circumstance\, as in other similar ones\, improvisation will prevail as inspired by the context. \nRecital on the texts of Pier Paolo Pasolini
