DESCRIPTION:Men could choose between light and darkness and they chose darkness. \nPresentation of the book by Egidio Pasuch “The Black Ghosts of Marcinelle – history – and stories – of Belluno emigration to Belgium” published by Bellunesi nel mondo. \nIn the post-World War II period\, thousands of people from Belluno (as well as many other Venetians and Friulians) were driven by hunger and misery to Belgium. Belgium was the first country to reopen its borders to Italian emigration due to the need to replace local workers (who no longer accepted those inhumane working conditions) and war prisoners\, in the depths of the coal mines\, which were essential and in high demand to support post-war reconstruction. \nMarcinelle marked the history of Belgium but also of mining work and emigration to that country. The mines in Belgium were gradually closed. But the wounds of those dramas were never healed. Even today\, some remember Belgium by the name of the Black Country\, or the homeland of Cain\, due to the xenophobia to which many Italians were subjected. \nFree admission.

In the beautiful setting of Val di Lamen\, we discover the covoli: simple natural shelters built against rocky walls that have hosted small communities of people since prehistoric times and into more recent eras. A small jewel in a very pleasant and quiet environment\, at the foot of the Vette Feltrine\, in the company of the early blooms. DESCRIPTION:Internationally renowned violinist\, currently the first violin in the orchestra of La Fenice in Venice\, Myriam Dal Don is originally from Gosaldo and will be accompanied by the harpsichord master Carlo Rossi.  \nThe program focuses on the form of the sonata for violin and basso continuo\, which was very popular during the Baroque period\, where the violin is often entrusted – with virtuosic style – with the melodic part accompanied by one or more instruments\, in this concert the harpsichord\, playing the role of harmonic support.  \nThe journey through musical Europe at the turn of the 17th and 18th century begins with two composers from Venice and Padua who have shaped the music of the Serenissima: Vivaldi and Tartini. \nVivaldi’s Sonata in A minor No. 12 Op. 2 was composed in 1709 and is part of the collection of 12 Sonatas for violin and basso continuo dedicated to King Frederick IV of Denmark.  \nIn contrast\, the splendid “Didone Abbandonata” in G minor Op. 1 No. 10 by Tartini was composed in 1731.  \nFrom Italy we ideally travel to Germany at the beginning of the Age of Enlightenment to meet J.S. Bach\, court musician in the chapel of Duke Ernst III of Weimar\, with the Toccata BWV 913 for solo harpsichord dating back to 1705-8\, then continuing to London in the mid-18th century with the Sonata in A major for violin and basso continuo HWV 361 by G.F. \nHandel\, composed in 1725-26\, preceded by the Suite in minor HWV 429 for solo harpsichord from 1720. Established in 1971\, it encompasses 92 hectares of wetlands with standing and flowing water\, riparian forests\, meadows\, and shrub lands. \n  Through guided tours\, participants will learn about the history\, biodiversity\, and significance of the natural site and its relationship with water. \n We will observe the waters\, the great trees\, the rocks and pebbles\, flowers\, and birds as inhabitants of the area\, recounting how humans have interacted with nature by cultivating trees\, gathering reeds\, and building mills. \n The guided tours of the reserve and half-day excursions are easy walks aimed at adults and families with children starting from 6 years old. \n Full-day excursions are aimed at adults and families with teenagers starting from 10 years old.

Organized by the Women’s Health Prevention Committee\, in collaboration with A.D.O.S.  Belluno.  \n Event open to all\, in support of the Women’s Health Prevention project\, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis\, encouraging women to take care of their health. \nThe initiative supports and encourages women facing breast cancer\, and is an opportunity to walk together for 5 km with the goal of raising funds for the purchase of diagnostic and treatment tools for tumors.The start is at 10:00 AM in Piazza dei Martiri in Belluno and registration is possible starting from 9:00 AM. DESCRIPTION:Guided walk \nOn Sunday\, March 16\, there will be a walk MOUNTAIN VILLAGES – the resilience of Lamosano and the abandonment of Stracadon\, a ghost village\, organized by the CTG of Belluno. \nThis is not just any walk. It is simply an initiative proposed for the pleasure of rediscovering nature\, with the extraordinary blooms of the undergrowth\, before the more imposing vegetation hides them. And furthermore\, to immerse ourselves in our territory in search of lost time in places like Stracadon\, once bustling with life\, and now reduced to ghost villages. \nMeeting point: in Belluno- p/le Resistenza at 14:30 or later in the square at Lamosano.Walking itinerary: Lamosano – Stracadon – Molini – Lamosano Elevation gain: about 100 m.
