DESCRIPTION:Tradition\, sport\, community \nIn the heart of summer\, from Friday\, August 8 to Sunday\, August 10\, 2025\, the district of Villaga di Feltre hosts the traditional San Fermo Festival\, a popular celebration that brings together sports\, gastronomy\, and entertainment for both adults and children\, set against the beautiful pre-Alpine backdrop. \nThe weekend opens on Friday evening with a traditional dinner featuring polenta and grilled sardines\, accompanied by a drawing exhibition on the theme “A Planet to Save”\, with submissions due by 6:00 PM at Bar Giusti. \nSaturday\, August 9 is dedicated to movement and outdoor sports\, thanks to the tenth edition of the Villaga Trail – Corsa del Gal. At 5:30 PM\, the Corsa del Pulcino takes off\, a one-kilometer obstacle race for children under 12. Following that\, at 6:00 PM\, the main race will start: a competitive event of 9 kilometers for adults and 4 kilometers for youths under 14\, along with a fun walk open to everyone on a 4 or 9-kilometer route. The day will end with a festive traditional dinner featuring spit-roasted meats and the “Miss Cake” contest\, which will reward the best homemade cakes\, submitted by 6:00 PM at the former school. \nOn Sunday\, August 10\, the program resumes in the morning with a mixed 4×4 green volleyball tournament\, followed by the Holy Mass at 10:30 AM in the Church of San Fermo. The afternoon comes to life with an aperitif by the field and\, starting at 7:30 PM\, the final dinner featuring goulash. The awards for the competitions and the San Fermo lottery drawing will conclude the event in the late evening. \nThroughout the festival\, there will be a kiosk serving drinks\, local specialties\, and a menu dedicated to children. In case of bad weather\, events will take place under the covered pavilion. \nOrganized by Enal Sport Villaga A.S.D.\, with the patronage of the Municipality of Feltre and the support of numerous sponsors and local associations\, the San Fermo Festival is a special occasion to experience a weekend filled with nature\, tradition\, and community.

DESCRIPTION:At the dawn of the Renaissance\, a new sensitivity emerges\, finally giving space to the self of the poet-musician. The urge to express one’s inner self is favored by the highly singable Italian language\, which reached full expressive maturity between the 14th and 15th centuries; but it also relies on the use of musical instruments capable of competing with the singing voice\, particularly the viola da gamba. \nA bow instrument of Spanish origin\, it has a distinctly harmonic sound\, which means\, in terms of tone\, thickness\, depth\, and richness. \nSinging to the viola becomes a particularly appreciated practice\, both in the interpretation of verses of an epic\, legendary\, narrative nature\, improvising harmonies and passages to emphasize the contents and emotional states inherent in the text\, and in creating a polyphonic composition of a frottola or madrigal type\, playing one part and singing another\, along with other voices or string instruments. \nThis way of making music\, certainly accompanied by the reading of poetic passages from the greats of the time\, starting with Francesco Petrarca\, represented an inspiring way to share creative moments of entertainment but also to learn with the instrument and voice together\, to rise to the way of the singer Orpheus who\, the mythical Greek demi-god\, during the Renaissance\, came to symbolize the fully musical human being. \nThis image was truly captivating\, particularly thanks to the specific characteristics of the bow instrument; and it was so captivating that it allowed the poets and musicians of the time to open their hearts in expressing expectations\, hopes and disappointments\, loves and passions\, against a backdrop that sometimes evokes melancholy\, sometimes play\, and at other times the bitter solitude of suffering. \nIn any case\, music and poetry reflecting the human soul. \nRepertoire: J.
