Inside each open site\, you will find a volunteer from the Fondaco association available for free tours. \n What will be visited?  \nTHE PALACES \n  At the Palazzo Pretorio\, the seat of the city’s political power\, it will be possible to visit the Hall of Armorial Bearings and nearby\, at the Palazzo della Ragione\, the Council Hall. The doors will also be opened to an ancient city institution\, the Monte di Pietà\, with the evocative rooms of the pawnshop and the safe. \n  THE CITY CHURCHES \n In via Mezzaterra\, the Church of San Giacomo Maggiore with numerous works to discover; near Port’Oria\, the ancient Church of the Most Holy Trinity\, the only survivor of the fire of 1510\, which preserves a rare cycle of 15th-century frescoes inside; the Baptistery\, once dedicated to San Lorenzo\, with the ancient baptismal font; the Cathedral of San Pietro with its numerous votive chapels and the crypt. \n  THE CHURCHES OF THE REGION \n  Outside the city walls\, in Anzù\, it will be possible to visit the Sanctuary of Saints Martyrs Vittore and Corona\, elevated to Minor Basilica in 2002\, rich in cycles of frescoes that tell its millennial history. This site is complemented by four churches in the municipal area: the Church of San Paolo\, in the eponymous neighborhood\, currently undergoing a recovery project thanks to the work of volunteers; the Church of San Benedetto in Celarda\, immersed in nature just a few steps from the Vincheto nature reserve; the Church of San Marcello in Umin\, which preserves some of the oldest frescoes in the area; finally\, the new addition for 2025\, the Church of San Fermo in Villaga\, recently restored thanks to significant funding.

With its characteristic basin shape\, it is a true paradise for hiking due to its forest\, which is the second largest in Italy. This area is home to a Cimbrian ethnic settlement dating back to the early 1800s.Of German origin\, this population comes from Roana\, one of the seven municipalities of the Vicentine plateau\, which settled here due to the rich beech forests\, a plant species suitable for handcrafted work.Currently\, the villages of Campon and Pian Osteria are inhabited by the Cimbri\, while traces of some typical constructions remain in Le Rotte\, Vallorch\, I Pich\, Pian Canaie\, Canaie\, Pian dei Lovi\, and Valbona. The historic building of Pian Osteria houses the Ethnographic Museum and Cimbrian Culture; it is open every day from June 15 to September 15 and can be visited by reservation in other periods of the year. Among the sections\, the first is dedicated to wood processing; the second is dedicated to the artisanal activities of the Cimbri; the third is dedicated to the library and the projection of videos about the Cansiglio and Cimbrian culture\, its history\, and its legends. DESCRIPTION:A magnalonga among the malghe of Monte Avena! \nThe “Magna e Cammina sul Monte Avena” organized by the Pro Loco of Pedavena is a 7 km walk with tastings at the accommodations of the area. \n When: Sunday\, July 6\, 2025\, with departures at 8:30 – 9:15 – 10:00 and 10:45 \n  Departure from: Piazzale Le Buse on Monte Avena. Attention: The route is not suitable for strollers. \n Length: Approximately 7 km \n Duration of the single loop: About 4 hours \n Cost: \n\n adults: 26 euros \nchildren aged 8 to 15 years (completed): 21 euros\n children under 8 years (not completed): free \n\n Registration: by Sunday\, June 29 \n What to bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle\, hiking shoes/boots\, a windbreaker\, sunscreen\, mosquito/tick spray\, and a sun hat. \n Stops: \n\nFIRST STOP: Malga Casere dei Boschi  Tasting of cured meats and mountain cheeses produced by us \n SECOND STOP: Malga Campon  Lasagna with nettles\, speck\, and mountain cheese \n THIRD STOP: Malga Campet   Goulash with polenta or schizz with polenta \n FOURTH STOP: Chalet alle Buse  Pane e pom cake with Feltrine walnuts and custard \n\nRegistration method: Registrations are open until all spots are filled and in any case no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday\, June 29\, 2025.  \nEach participant\, during registration\, can choose their preferred departure time until the 40 available spots for each group are filled.
