DESCRIPTION:The festival of the Patron of Cesana San Bernardo this year is renewed with a fascinating program. \nOn Saturday the 16th at 4:00 PM\, the festival will be inaugurated\, and at 6:00 PM there will be a non-competitive running event “4 pas su La Piave” organized by Riding Episode\, featuring an 8km route and a 4km route dedicated to young runners. Music with DJ Dallo. \nOn Sunday the 17th at 8:30 AM\, the craft market opens\, at 10:00 AM we will play with Yoga\, and at 10:30 AM there will be a display of archery and historical fencing with “la Tana del Lupo“. \nAt 11:00 AM\, there will be a Holy Mass with the Polyphonic choir\, and at 4:00 PM\, the Trio Faber will perform music by De Andrè. \nAt 5:30 PM\, there will be a bicycle ride for children and families to the Lakes of Rimonta\, organized by Riding Episode\, and at 6:30 PM\, the grand finale with the Tank Storage. \nDuring the event: kiosk\, food truck corner\, Moka’s Gin station\, music\, artists at work\, and guided tours of the town. \nFeast for the Patron Saint!

DESCRIPTION:“Dolomites – ritual\, landscape\, community” opens this year with “To me\, to you\,” a photographic exhibition by Gabriel Colombani that connects the landscapes of the Dolomites in Alta Badia to the community of Corvara. \nThe DOLOMITES review returns for its second edition\, conceived in 2024 by the Borgo Piave ETC aps association to delve into Dolomitic culture\, the Dolomites as a heritage\, and the communities that live within the Dolomites.  \nThis year\, the themes to be explored are the relationships between the Dolomitic landscape\, the communities living within it\, and the rituals that are part of the UNESCO heritage culture of the Dolomites.  \nThe first proposal of the review establishes a relationship between the landscape and the community through the shots of Gabriel Colombani\, who created this photographic exhibition to express\, through images\, his relationship with the people and the moments that have marked his life as a Dolomitic resident.  \nThe exhibition titled “To Me\, To You” has already been displayed in Corvara (BZ)\, Gabriel’s home town and the heart of that community he wanted to connect to the photographs. \nThe page of the Alta Badia tourist cooperative described his work as follows: “Gabriel Colombani\, passionate about art and people\, presents an exhibition that speaks of emotions and reflections through the lens of photography. The idea was born from a desire to transform it into something deeper\, surpassing the view of this art as mere representation. The spark was ignited with the creation of the photographic book “To Me\, To You\,” a visual diary in which each shot tells a story\, a bond\, an emotion. We are human beings with a thousand facets\, and few things are more beautiful than observing the reaction of someone facing an image dedicated to him or her\, whether it be beautiful or uncomfortable.” \n  \nHours: from 11:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00 \n

Solidarity ride around Lake Santa Croce in Alpago. \nThe route of the Lake Santa Croce Tour in the Run\, Handbike\, and Bike versions starts from the central Piazza Papa Luciani in Puos\, passing through the locations of Farra\, Poiatte\, Santa Croce del Lago\, La Secca\, Bastia d’Alpago\, before returning\, after approximately 17.4 km\, to Puos\, with the finish in the main square of the village. \nThe Walking Event is linked with the classic Lake Santa Croce Tour for both the start and finish. The route\, which is 7 km long\, starts on Via al Lago\, then moves along the banks of the Tesa stream\, at the height of the sports facilities of the Unione Montana dell’Alpago\, from Puos towards Farra\, crossing the scenic natural oasis near Lake Santa Croce\, before reaching the village of Bastia and ascending along the cycle path up to the Puos nursing home\, then returning on the paved road\, traversing a stretch of Via Roma\, and proceeding towards the finish on Via Verdi. \nThe Skating Event is also connected with the classic Lake Santa Croce Tour for both the start and finish. The route\, which is 4.8 km long\, is entirely flat and on paved roads. With its characteristic basin shape\, it is a true paradise for hiking due to its forest\, which is the second largest in Italy. This area is home to an ethnic Cimbrian settlement dating back to the early 1800s.Of German origin\, this population comes from Roana\, one of the seven municipalities of the Vicentine plateau\, which settled here due to the abundantly rich beech forests\, a plant species suitable for artisan work.Currently\, the villages of Campon and Pian Osteria are inhabited by the Cimbri\, while traces of some typical buildings remain in Le Rotte\, Vallorch\, I Pich\, Pian Canaie\, Canaie\, Pian dei Lovi\, and Valbona. The historical building of Pian Osteria houses the Ethnographic Museum and Cimbrian culture; it is open every day from June 15 to September 15 and is available for visits by reservation during other periods of the year. Among the sections\, the first is dedicated to wood processing; the second is dedicated to the Cimbri’s artisanal activities; the third is dedicated to the library and the screening of videos about Cansiglio and Cimbrian culture\, its history\, and its legends. On Sunday\, August 17th\, from 8:00 AM until 15 minutes before the respective departure time (unless otherwise decided by the organizers) in front of the Youth House of Puos d’Alpago. Solidarity cycling around Lake Santa Croce in Alpago. \nThe route of the Giro del Lago di Santa Croce in the Run\, Handbike\, and Bike versions starts from the central square of Papa Luciani in Puos\, touching the locations of Farra\, Poiatte\, Santa Croce del Lago\, La Secca\, Bastia d’Alpago\, before returning after about 17.4 km to Puos\, arriving at the main square of the village. \nThe Pedestrian route is combined with the classic Giro del Lago di Santa Croce for both the start and finish. The 7 km long route begins on via al Lago\, then moves along the bank of the Tesa stream\, at the height of the sports facilities of the Unione Montana dell’Alpago\, from Puos towards Farra\, crossing the picturesque nature oasis close to Lake Santa Croce\, before reaching the village of Bastia and ascending along the cycling path to the height of the Puos nursing home\, before returning to the paved road\, traversing a stretch of Via Roma\, and then proceeding towards the finish on via Verdi. \nThe Skate route is also combined with the classic Giro del Lago di Santa Croce for both the start and finish. The course\, 4.8 km long\, is completely flat and on a paved road. It winds along via al Lago and via Turatti\, from Puos towards Farra\, before turning right on via Matteotti and then reaching the roundabout that leads to via Roma\, the long straight stretch that leads to the finish on via Verdi. Along the route and at the finish\, always in Piazza Papa Luciani in Puos\, free refreshment stations will be set up.
