The works of Gard\, Renko\, and Facchin\, with their technical mastery and creativity\, create a dynamic dialogue with the surrounding space\, transforming the palace into a place where art comes to life.  \nThree artists for three different visions of programmatic\, kinetic\, and optical art. \n  In addition to the artistic experience\, the exhibition offers the opportunity to visit the Palazzo delle Contesse\, an architectural gem of the 17th century\, home to the Cvico Archeological Museum\, and to discover the village of Mel\, one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.” A perfect combination of art\, history\, and landscape\, for an unforgettable experience.  \nOpening on Saturday\, March 8 at 6:00 PM. \nClosing on Sunday\, May 11 in the presence of artists Gard and Renko.

DESCRIPTION:Men could choose between light and darkness and they chose darkness. \nPresentation of the book by Egidio Pasuch “The Black Ghosts of Marcinelle – history – and stories – of Belluno emigration to Belgium” published by Bellunesi nel mondo. \nIn the post-World War II period\, thousands of people from Belluno (as well as many other Venetians and Friulians) were driven by hunger and misery to Belgium. Belgium was the first country to reopen its borders to Italian emigration due to the need to replace local workers (who no longer accepted those inhumane working conditions) and war prisoners\, in the depths of the coal mines\, which were essential and in high demand to support post-war reconstruction. \nMarcinelle marked the history of Belgium but also of mining work and emigration to that country. The mines in Belgium were gradually closed. But the wounds of those dramas were never healed. Even today\, some remember Belgium by the name of the Black Country\, or the homeland of Cain\, due to the xenophobia to which many Italians were subjected. \nFree admission.
