DESCRIPTION:Actor and puppet theater show by Lanfranco Lanza and Enrico Vanzella\, with Enrico Vanzella. \nA sailor once young\, made a man by a sea that became both mother and father\, remembers an incredible journey in which he lived fantastic stories and sea legends that were so often heard and retold that they became true. That mysterious world of a time when the seas were navigated by sailing ships that were pushed only by the wind on distant and fascinating routes.  \nAn animated and narrated show that immerses itself in ancient stories\, inhabited by deities and sea monsters\, wrecks\, storms\, and mysteries\, stories that drawing from authors like Kipling\, Verne as well as from popular tales take on their raw and simple characteristics\, sometimes frightening and terrible\, other times fantastic and surreal\, others comic.  \nThe central theme is the journey that shapes and educates us\, the value of friendship\, of pursuing our ideals and inclinations. With this spirit the outdoor cinema review “Olympics: the stories of the big screen” is born\, organized by the Municipality of Belluno as part of the summer events of Restate in Città 2025.  \nFor five weeks\, stories inspired by real events focused on alpine skiing\, bobsleigh\, ski jumping\, hockey\, and skating will come to life on the big screen. \nThe film Eddie the Eagle  is inspired by the true story of Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards\, the British skier who in 1988 became the first athlete to represent the United Kingdom at the Winter Olympics in the discipline of ski jumping.  \nIn 1973\, little Eddie\, despite his physical problems and parents who continuously oppose him\, pursues the dream of competing in the most prestigious of competitions\, the Olympics.  \nGrowing up\, he discovers the discipline of ski jumping\, a category now abandoned by England\, and decides to apply for qualification in Germany and represent Great Britain at the 1988 Calgary Olympics. \nDirected by Dexter Fletcher.
