DESCRIPTION:The AMICI del MUSEO Association in Belluno will dedicate the first meetings of 2026 to the knowledge of Belluno\, the city in which it operates. \nIt will focus on one of the most significant architectural\, artistic\, and religious complexes: the Church of San Pietro\, for which the 700th anniversary of its dedication will be celebrated in 2026. \nAn oasis of silence\, prayer\, and historical memory in one of the oldest parts of the city\, which develops along the perimeter of the Roman quadrilateral that borders the Ardo stream.  \nThe Church was desired by the CONVENTUAL MINOR FRANCISCANS who had inhabited the adjacent convent of San Pietro since the end of the 1200s\, of which the Gothic Cloister\, currently visitable\, is an integral part.  \nThis second meeting will be led by Don Giacomo Mazzorana\, from the Scientific Committee of the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art of Belluno – Feltre\, who on Sunday\, April 26\, at 5:00 PM\, will guide those interested in discovering the artistic treasures of the Church. \nThe meeting is free of charge.

We will accompany you on a circular route\, through enchanting mountain landscapes and testimonies from the past.  \nAlso joining us is the author Laura Cappellazzo\, who during the day will share some stories from her novel: “The Wildflower Brigade\,” set in these very places.  \nLaura and the heroines of the novel\, women of the Venetian resistance who actually existed\, will guide us along the route\, telling us their stories. “We\, the Wildflowers\, want to tell you a different story. A story that happened among the mountains you see around you. From that spontaneous and resilient grass\, we are the flowers. The humble ones you find in the meadows. Those that grow by themselves\, without needing anyone to plant them. Because we are carried by the wind of life. And\, wherever we fall\, we sprout and bring beauty. Partisans and Patriots Recognized in Belluno and Belluno Soldiers Recognized as Partisans Abroad\, edited by Franco Comin and Silvia Comin under the scientific direction of Enrico Bacchetti\, Diego Cason\, and Adriana Lotto. \nThe volume reconstructs the history of the resistance movement that operated across the provinces of Belluno and Treviso\, drawing on sources almost exclusively archival\, from the State Archives of Belluno to the Central State Archive in Rome (Fondo Ricompart)\, to the Archives of the Historical Resistance Institutes of Belluno and Vittorio Veneto\, and to the Center for the History of the Resistance and Contemporary Age at the University of Padua. \nPublished and recorded testimonies from the protagonists and the specific literature are also used. \nIn particular\, the first part focuses on the birth of the five formations active in the territory of the Left Piave from Cansiglio to Monte Grappa\, their actions\, their political and military relations\, their relationship with Allied missions\, and partisan justice. \nThe second part consists of approximately 1500 profiles of partisans\, patriots\, collaborators\, and distinguished individuals. \nThe third part also collects significant documents produced by the formations during the twenty months of struggle. \nThe event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Limana\, the Tina Merlin Association\, and Anpi. \nFree entry. \n  \nBook presentation: Facing the Enemy. SUMMARY:Musica dai due golfi
DESCRIPTION:The forced “stop” due to the pandemic allowed us to bring to life an idea and a partnership that had long awaited their moment. We were able to rediscover the repertoire of songs from the 1800s and 1900s of two cities\, Naples and Venice\, which have always been symbols of Italian music in the world\, and to reinterpret it by exploring the points of contact and creating a relationship and comparison between two musical traditions.   Navigating through the Neapolitan repertoire\, we were simply spoiled for choice given the infinity and beauty of the musical offerings. \nAfter a brief foray into the world of Neapolitan villanella with “Vorria ca fosse ciaula” (1551)\, we began the true repertoire of song with “Te voglio bene assaje\,” a hit at Piedigrotta in 1839. Since then\, Neapolitan song has continued to be enriched with masterpieces up to the present day. It is not far from the truth to say that some pieces represent “Italian song” well beyond national borders.   It was different for Venice.   Between the 1600s and 1700s\, Venetian song\, the “canzon da batelo\,” had undeniable diffusion and success. The term “barcarola\,” in fact\, means “composition evoking the songs of Venetian gondoliers\,” translated in German also with the term “Gondellied.” \nWith the fall of the Serenissima Republic\, the fortunes\, not only musical\, of the lagoon city began to signal a crisis. There was hardly anything left to sing about or to be merry!  \nWe had to wait until the end of the 19th century\, when\, in 1891\, the satirical newspaper “Sior Tonin Bonagrazia” decided to hold a new singing competition in order to “revive Venetian song.” The Feast of the Redeemer in Venice became what Piedigrotta was for Naples.   To close our program in a “perfect circle\,” it could only be the two chosen instruments of the same repertoire: the guitar and the mandolin. \nOur collaboration\, friends for a lifetime\, came about naturally as a consequence.   Once we selected and arranged the pieces\, singing while accompanying ourselves with guitar and mandolin and “playing” with the voices\, we chose to intersperse the songs with original instrumental pieces from the so-called “classical” period of the mandolin.   To tie the musical repertoire together\, a series of narratives to help the listener follow the proposed journey in an almost theatrical unity\, and here is ready “Music from the Two Gulfs. Venice and Naples.” \nAll that remains is the pleasure of letting you listen to it.   An instrumental piece closes our showcase of sounds: “The Carnival of Venice\,” a theme with variations by the Genoese Paganini\, probably derived from an ancient Neapolitan song “O mamma\, mamma ca.” This melody\, today a symbol of Venetian music in the world\, is reinterpreted by us in a “Varied Fantasy\,” coincidentally\, by the Neapolitan Carlo Munier. \nMusic goes and returns between Naples and Venice and knows no barriers that can stop it! \nVenice and Naples

DESCRIPTION:International skydiving competition \nOn Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May\, the Dolomiti Cup\, an international parachuting competition\, will take place at Belluno airport. \nThe competition is now in its 17th edition\, which began as a spring training for northern European teams\, especially Dutch\, and has established itself as an international event and is now at maximum capacity for a competition that takes place over 2 days. \n25 teams have completed pre-registration\, and many will arrive as early as Saturday 25 April to begin a series of training sessions\, including the reigning world champions from Qatar\, who will compete against the best Italian teams from the Army and the Carabinieri. \nPROGRAM:– From Saturday 25 April to Friday 01 May\, training jumps are open to all athletes. – Friday 01 May registration opens. – Saturday 02 May competition begins from dawn until dusk. – Sunday 03 May continuation of the competition until around 12:00\, followed by the awards ceremony.
