We asked ourselves: what does it mean to talk about Resistance today? \nResistance is a term that is different and\, in some respects\, opposite to ‘resilience’\, which is so in vogue today. Resilience is the capacity for endurance and adaptation. Resistance is the contrary action\, dissenting\, conscious\, and based on ethical and political grounds. We chose to interrogate Resistance not only as a historical fact but as a figure of the spirit: what happens to humans when they resist? Why do they do it? What do we resist against today? How do we do it? And why? What are we defending? \nThe research for this work involved 70 people aged between 15 and 75\, who participated in movement and autobiographical writing workshops lasting about 2 months\, between January and March 2025. From this\, the texts of the performance were born\, mosaics of a plural writing\, a gaze that is at times intimate yet never ‘private’. \nIn 2025\, the work took the form of a community performance that took place outdoors in the cities of Venice\, Mogliano Veneto\, and Mirano and involved 65 performers and over 2000 audience members. \nThe testimonies collected were too precious to be lost\, so thanks to the invaluable and indispensable support of A.N.P.I.
