Dal Pont “Bianchi” Conference Room (V.le Fantuzzi\, 11) and will start at 5:00 PM. \nSecond evening March 14\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM – MYCOLOGY \nThird evening March 28\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM – ZOOLOGY \nThe return of the otter (Lutra lutra) in Veneto – A story of local extinction\, ecology of the species\, the return\, threats\, ongoing research\, and prospects \nAfter decades of absence of the species from the regional territory\, in 2022\, evidence of the otter’s return to Veneto\, specifically in Comelico\, was found. Following that report\, targeted investigations were organized that allowed for the verification and characterization of the species’ expansion in the province of Belluno. \nDuring the evening\, the history of this local extinction and the causes behind it will be outlined\, and the species will be described\, including its ecology and environmental preferences. An in-depth look at ongoing research and the results achieved will highlight the current distribution framework. The investigation methods used by the “otter group” will be discussed\, including the use of camera trapping\, along with the presentation of some unpublished images and videos. Finally\, the threats facing the species will be highlighted\, as well as its future prospects for consolidation and expansion in the Belluno area and\, more generally\, in Veneto. \nCurated by M. A Puppet’s Story will take place at the Teatro Comunale Dino Buzzati\, presented by the Fonderia Aperta company from Verona. \n“Every human being must be able to take care of themselves and others\, feel part of society\, exchange aspirations\, values\, and desires\, beyond their psycho-physical abilities.” \n“The Adventures of Pinocchio. A Puppet’s Story” is a fantastic novel for children written by Carlo Collodi\, first published in Florence in February 1883\, which tells the experiences of Pinocchio\, an animated puppet made by the carpenter Geppetto\, who considers him as a son and who\, thanks to the presence of the Blue Fairy\, matures morally until he becomes a real boy. Pinocchio is a puppet\, who has all the flaws and virtues of a child; a puppet who transforms\, through adventures and pains\, into a true human being who has learned life’s lesson.  \nThe “Pinocchio” created by Fonderia Aperta ETS in collaboration with actor and director Roberto Totola is freely adapted from Collodi and is the theatrical expression of a training\, inclusion\, and initiation path into the performing arts for young people with disabilities and fragility. The Show\, promoted by the Rotary District 2060\, will take place in Veneto in the locations of Belluno and Verona. Its realization in Belluno has been made possible thanks to the Rotary Club of Belluno\, along with the Rotary Clubs of Cadore-Cortina Feltre and Treviso.  \nAdmission to the show will be free and open\, until seating capacity is reached.

DESCRIPTION:The exhibition is open on Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 to 18:00.  \nA new temporary exhibition titled “Animals as a Bridge between Spirit and Matter” arrives at the Museum of Stone and Stone Carvers. Nature as a way to open the gaze\, explore one’s imagination and reveal different viewpoints of Ylenia Piat\, artist and art therapist. \nThe inauguration will be held on Friday\, March 27 at 6:30 PM. \nYlenia’s artistic research stems from a deep dialogue with Nature. Nature is seen as a continuous wonder\, in its splendid multiplicity of forms and spaces\, where every aspect is woven into our existence as human beings. Animals\, trees\, and matter become traveling companions: living presences through which to explore the relationship between the visible and the invisible. The wolf\, a recurring figure in this journey\, represents a mirror: a symbolic guide that invites one to go beyond labels and reconnect with elusive parts of oneself.  \nAlongside the symbolic dimension of animals\, the exhibition places the focus on matter: stone\, wood\, paper\, and mark are not just tools but genuine interlocutors in the creative process. Blending art and art therapy\, Ylenia’s work proposes a space for experience and exploration\, where the relationship with nature and materials becomes a path of knowledge and transformation. \n Three creative workshops inspired by Nature are also planned\, where animals\, stones\, and marks become bridges between imagination and emotion. DESCRIPTION:The book guides the reader in discovering the most evocative panoramic views\, the symbolic places of Arsié\, from the main town to the hamlets\, from Lake Corlo to historically significant sites such as Forte Leone.  \nA particularly significant aspect is the comparison between contemporary images and reproductions of historical postcards: a visual dialogue that highlights the profound transformations of the landscape and the community over the last century. \nAlongside the photographs\, there are informative fact sheets about the places\, religious buildings\, and the main events in the Arsié area. The work is complemented by brief monographs and contributions from scholars who explore the artistic\, archaeological\, and historical aspects of the territory\, restoring dignity and value to a heritage often considered secondary but\, in reality\, rich in important testimonies. \nAmong these\, we recall Daniela Perco’s essay on the Solivi of Fastro\, Tiziana Conte’s work on the artworks in the churches\, Elisa Possenti’s contribution on the excavations in the church of Arsié\, Luca Girotto’s exploration of Forte Leone\, and Laura Pontin’s analysis of the Bragadin coat of arms. It also features a reprint of a writing by Silvio Lancerini on the complex events that led to the creation of Lake Corlo\, now one of the main tourist attractions in the area. \nPresentation of the book edited by Luigino Coin and Antonio De Marchi

DESCRIPTION:The Parish Group of Carve -Borgo Valbelluna- has organized two important initiatives focused on the Vajont tragedy: the original Easter Nativity scene and the exhibition “Vajont to not forget\,” created in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Longarone\, with the aim of keeping alive the memory of an event that has profoundly marked our history. \nThe spirit of these events is inspired by the words of Pope Francis who said in 2024\, during the audience of representatives of the population affected by the tragedy of Longarone\, on the sixtieth anniversary\, that the reconstruction efforts are “seeds of resurrection\,” and that even if they don’t make much news\, they are “precious in the eyes of God.” \nIn these days when we impotently witness the destruction caused by armed conflicts with the death of helpless children and adults\, there is a need for the cessation of wars\, the material reconstruction of severely affected territories\, and the restoration of the social fabric through peace and brotherhood among peoples. The necessity for seeds of resurrection to be planted where there is now only pain and death. \nThe events on Sunday\, March 29 will see\, in the presence of the Mayor of Borgo Valbelluna Stefano Cesa and of Longarone Roberto Padrin\, at 10 o’clock at the end of the Holy Mass the opening of the Easter Nativity scene\, followed by the inauguration of the exhibition at the parish hall. \n \nTwo events of deep significance and moral value that are a call for everyone. \nThe Easter Nativity of Carve\, among the few present in the province and at the regional level\, stands out for its originality as it is completely made with artisanal skill from the figurines to the sheep\, of the mountains that overlook Longarone to the dam\, with a suggestive and very engaging setting. \nThe exhibition “Vajont to not forget” will present impactful images that narrate the historical excursus of the event with photos of “Old Longarone\,” from the construction of the dam to the disaster that occurred on the night of October 9\, 1963\, from the rescue efforts to the reconstruction. \nOn Sunday\, April 19 there will be a closing concert in the church at Carve by the Kantas vocal group from Codissago\, directed by Anna D’incà\, at 6:00 PM \n \nOpen every holiday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and in the afternoon from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM \nalso open Saturday afternoons from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM \nfor any visits outside scheduled hours contact: Luigino: 360536730 or Sandrino 3493606898 \n \nMemory and resurrection

DESCRIPTION:The volume reconstructs the history of the resistance movement that operated across the provinces of Belluno and Treviso\, drawing on almost exclusively archival sources\, from the State Archive of Belluno to the Central State Archive in Rome (Ricompart Fund)\, to the Archives of the Historical Institutes of the Resistance of Belluno and Vittorio Veneto\, and to the Center for the History of the Resistance and Contemporary Age of Padua.  \nPublished and recorded testimonies on audiocassettes from the protagonists\, as well as specific literature\, are also included.  \nIn particular\, the first part focuses on the birth of the five formations operating in the territory of Left Piave from Cansiglio to Monte Grappa\, their actions\, their political and military relationships\, their interactions with Allied missions\, and partisan justice.  \nThe second part consists of approximately 1500 profiles of partisans\, patriots\, collaborators\, and benefactors.  \nThe third part collects significant documents produced by the formations during the twenty months of struggle. \nThe text\, published with the support of the Veneto Region and the General Directorate of Libraries and Cultural Institutions of the Ministry of Culture and sponsored by the State Archive of Belluno\, Anpi\, and 23 municipalities along with the Province of Belluno\, presents itself\, also in its graphic design\, as the natural continuation of the project initiated years ago by the Belluno Historical Institute\, which first emerged in the publication of the volume The Courage and Passion.
