DESCRIPTION:Access is made in an area with low lighting: it is advisable to bring a flashlight. In case of rain\, the stairs and floor may be slippery; appropriate footwear is recommended. The site is abandoned and may present dust or traces of mold. The expected duration of the stay is short\, but those suffering from respiratory conditions\, allergies\, or asthma may experience discomfort; participation should be evaluated based on one’s own conditions. By entering\, the visitor declares to have read this information and to access voluntarily and under their own exclusive responsibility\, expressly releasing the Foundation and the Delegation from any liability for possible inconveniences\, damages\, or consequences arising from personal or pre-existing medical conditions. \nThe FAI desk\, from which the visit path will start\, will be located in the nearby Piazza Angelina Zampieri\, behind Palazzo Bembo\, the meeting point for visitors. \nThe visit path is not accessible due to architectural barriers that impede access to the site. \nOn the occasion of the FAI Spring Days\, the Day Hotel is reopened to the public with guided tours.  \nThe opening of the Day Hotel during the FAI Spring Days is part of the thematic path “Underground Belluno\,” dedicated to the hidden places of the city. The visit begins at Piazza Angelina Zampieri\, behind Palazzo Bembo\, crosses Piazzale Cesare Battisti – where three works by the Belluno sculptor Franco Fiabane are also visible – and finally leads to the underground rooms of the Day Hotel.  \nHere\, among traces of abandonment and furnishings left for decades\, the stories of the structure are narrated in relation to the urban and social history of Belluno. We will descend into the entrance hall\, from which the barber’s room\, the women’s facilities\, and the rooms with tubs and showers overlook. DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to meet old friends and new \nThere have been many\, and always beautiful\, occasions to gather in large numbers to paint frescoes\, in various locations in Italy and abroad\, in serene harmony\, with the joy of practicing “the sixth degree” of painting. \nThis time we propose a meeting without work\, but with the great pleasure of finding ourselves at the table among old friends and sharing who knows how many stories and perhaps presenting new projects. \nSee you all soon! \nVico Calabrò\nBorn in Agordo (BL) in 1938 and residing in Caldogno (VI)\, he is a versatile artist who moves with mastery between different graphic and painting techniques. His works range from dreamily serene to sharply ironic\, sometimes addressing themes of social commitment. \nHis career as a designer has seen him collaborate with numerous contemporary authors for book illustrations\, in addition to contributing to various magazines and periodicals. In the graphic field\, Vico trained at the Busato art print shop in Vicenza\, where he created hundreds of matrices for etching and lithography\, personally overseeing print runs intended for publishers and gallery owners. \nHis artistic production also includes numerous murals in Italy and abroad\, present in private and public venues in France\, Germany\, Japan\, the Netherlands\, Poland\, Romania\, Brazil\, Malta\, and Bulgaria. Thanks to his long experience in fresco painting\, he has often been invited by prestigious schools and art centers\, including the European Centre of San Servolo in Venice\, the Academies of Fine Arts of Verona\, Vibo Valentia\, Warsaw\, and Lodz (PL)\, Utrecht (NL)\, Olot (E)\, and San Luis Potosi (MX)\, as well as the Koto-ku Cultural Center in Tokyo\, the Art 2000 Club in Malta\, the Venetie Comité in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (NL)\, the Kultury Dom in Jaslo (PL)\, and the Tzanco Lavrenov Institute in Plovdiv (BG). \nVico Calabrò has played a central role in important mural projects\, coordinating works in Cibiana di Cadore (BL) and at the Casa degli Affreschi in Facen di Pedavena (BL). He founded the International Fresco Laboratory in Treglio (Ch) and promoted the Festiwal Fresku in Zamosc (PL). In his honor\, the Labirynt Fresku was named in Mariampol (PL)\, a project that collects 50 frescoes created by international artists.
