DESCRIPTION:Breakfast with Marzio G. Mian \nFor many years\, I have been telling contemporary stories and the most divisive themes of our time through the great rivers of the world. It is a narrative key that I have used for both writing and video documentaries. I explored Brexit by descending the Thames; the Trump phenomenon – during his first campaign – by ascending the Missouri\, the most agricultural and conservative river in America\, but also one that symbolizes the conquest of the West. Then I narrated the world’s most devastating deforestation in Cambodia\, following a long stretch of the Mekong. But it all started with the Mississippi\, about a decade ago: it was there that\, together with my photographer friend Alessandro Cosmelli\, I learned to listen to the great rivers\, to understand that they can reveal uncomfortable\, even shocking truths. \nHere are the sources of the idea of using the Volga as a primary route – from its sources in the Valdai region between St. Petersburg and Moscow to Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea – to try to understand what it means to be Russian today. Together with Alessandro\, we took a big risk during the second summer of war\, and we traveled six thousand kilometers into the heart\, belly\, and soul of deep Russia for over a month\, without a journalistic visa and without ever meeting a single foreigner. This resulted in an exclusive report for Harper’s Magazine in the United States and then a book\, Volga Blues. \nA journey not only to traverse the many regions washed by the Volga but also to retrace the eras and rewind the tape of events that have led to the crisis and war. At 5 PM\, the patronal mass will be celebrated\, including the renewal of marriage vows for the couples in the community. Then there will be food and music under the heated tent. The typical dish of the day will be fried fish\, with fresh products arriving daily from the Adriatic. \nThe following day\, Saturday 15\, there will be a soccer match “Old versus Young” at 10:30 AM\, while in the afternoon there will be a briscola card game for 32 pairs. The menu offers polenta and venison for lunch\, and salt cod for dinner. \nAnd Sunday is the last day\, with mural orienteering at 10:30 AM\, entertainment and shows for the little ones in the afternoon. The menu includes lasagna for lunch\, traditionally hosted for all over 80s of the village; and pasta and beans\, and tripe for dinner. To conclude\, there will be a big solidarity bingo. \nThroughout the festival\, there will be some fixed specialties: pastin\, polenta\, sausages\, and the typical pendole with broth. The dance floor will be open\, and there will be a wine bar and a stand for artisanal ice cream. There will also be roaming clown shows with Cirillo and Bo. \nOn Saturday 22 from 3:00 PM\, the Children’s Carnival will take place with the participation of masked groups from Sedico schools\, roaming clown shows with Cirillo and Bo\, and from 5:30 PM\, “The Chemistry of Fire” with an exceptional fire show and masked aperitif with DJ set. \nOn Sunday 23 from 3:00 PM\, the second grand parade of floats and masked groups will take place\, featuring the extraordinary participation of the municipal musical band of Sedico… in costume! Competitions will start at 12:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM\, followed by the final awards ceremony. \nThe events will take place in dedicated lanes: dynamic apnea in lanes 1 and 2 and static apnea in the baby pool\, to ensure the concentration of the athletes. DESCRIPTION:Sporting event \nOn February 16\, 2025\, Belluno will host the 1st TARAVANA DOLOMITI\, a historic event for Italian freediving\, which will take place at the Belluno Swimming Pool\, at the foot of the Dolomites. During the day\, dynamic and static apnea athletes will compete in a unique atmosphere. \nThe program will begin at 11:30 AM with registrations and the technical briefing at 12:15 PM. Competitions will start at 12:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM\, followed by the final awards ceremony. \nThe events will take place in dedicated lanes: dynamic apnea in lanes 1 and 2 and static apnea in the baby pool\, to ensure the concentration of the athletes. DESCRIPTION:From February 14 to 16\, Igne is preparing to host the festival to celebrate the patron saint\, Saint Valentine. \nThe festival program kicks off on the evening of Friday\, February 14\, Saint Valentine’s Day. At 5 PM\, the patronal mass will be celebrated\, including the renewal of marriage vows for the couples in the community. Then there will be food and music under the heated tent. The typical dish of the day will be fried fish\, with fresh products arriving daily from the Adriatic. \nThe following day\, Saturday 15\, there will be a soccer match “Old versus Young” at 10:30 AM\, while in the afternoon there will be a briscola card game for 32 pairs. The menu offers polenta and venison for lunch\, and salt cod for dinner. \nAnd Sunday is the last day\, with mural orienteering at 10:30 AM\, entertainment and shows for the little ones in the afternoon. The menu includes lasagna for lunch\, traditionally hosted for all over 80s of the village; and pasta and beans\, and tripe for dinner. To conclude\, there will be a big solidarity bingo. \nThroughout the festival\, there will be some fixed specialties: pastin\, polenta\, sausages\, and the typical pendole with broth. The dance floor will be open\, and there will be a wine bar and a stand for artisanal ice cream.
