SUMMARY:Mail Art
DESCRIPTION:The Municipality of Borgo Valbelluna\, the Workers’ Society of Lentiai\, and the AUSER of Lentiai promote the Mail Art project. \nMail Art is an artistic practice that uses the postal service to send and receive “works of art\,” usually of small dimensions\, such as postcards and illustrated envelopes. \nIn an era dominated by digital communications\, the aim is to rediscover the value of postal correspondence as a form of relational art and as a tool for building connections through creativity. \nThe project is open to every artistic language: painting\, poetry\, singing\, sculpture\, writing\, illustration\, and music. \nThe young people have created “mini works” that have been sent and will be sent to artists\, museums\, galleries\, cultural associations\, radio stations\, and record labels\, asking them for a creative response and a brief testimony of their activity. \nThe invitation is not only directed at artists but also to cultural institutions\, museums\, galleries\, and associations that can share their projects and highlight interested artists\, or contribute by spreading the attached letter to the artists they collaborate with. \nAll material received will be collected and kept by the Municipality of Borgo Valbelluna (the Mel fraction – Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club)\, with the ambitious goal of transforming the town into the “Municipality of Mail Art\,” by organizing public exhibitions of the works received. \n“We want this initiative to grow over time and become an opportunity for dialogue between different artistic languages\, enhancing the human and creative contact that a simple letter can generate\,” explains Marco Bellotto\, president of the SOMS. \n Organizers of the Mail Art project: Marco Bellotto\, Christian Benincà\, Lorenzo Durante (President Auser)\, Annalisa Gasperin\, Duilio Maggis\, Hane Ponik\, Zoe Zanella. Collaborators: Matteo Bellotto\, Walter Bernardi\, Mauro Bianchet\, Patrizia Milani\, Barbara Pasa\, Alex Pergher\, Caterina Pison. \n For all information\, contact the IAT of Borgo Valbelluna

SUMMARY:Mattmark - 30 agosto 1965
DESCRIPTION:Mattmark disaster show \n  \nOn the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Mattmark disaster\, an event that occurred on August 30\, 1965\, in Switzerland\, causing one of the most serious workplace tragedies involving Italian emigrants\, especially from the Belluno area\, The Bellunesi Association in The World aims to remember what happened through an immersive exhibition composed of photographs\, documents\, films\, and video interviews with survivors and family members of the victims. \nDuring the construction of the largest dam in Europe\, a massive chunk of ice from the Allalin glacier (about two million cubic meters) broke off and overwhelmed the workers’ accommodations\, causing 88 deaths\, of which 56 were Italians and 17 were from Belluno. The last body was found two years later. The warning signs had been ignored\, but in the trials of 1972\, all the defendants were acquitted\, and the victims’ families even had to pay half of the legal costs. A tragedy without justice that profoundly marked the collective memory of the area. \nAn exhibition to understand what happened from the voice of those who were there\, from the words of those who saw their lives change in that disaster. A testimony to keep the memory alive. \nThe inauguration of the exhibition is scheduled for Thursday\, August 28\, 2025\, at 5:00 PM\, at MiM Belluno – Interactive Migration Museum\, Via Cavour 3\, Belluno. \nFor more information: tel. 0437 941160 – info@mimbelluno.it

SUMMARY:There's no calm after the storm
DESCRIPTION:An extreme weather event struck northeastern Italy in October 2018. The sirocco blew at speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour in the Dolomite valleys\, toppling around 14 million trees. The incessant rain caused streams to overflow\, dragging logs and debris downstream. \n In the course of a night\, the residents of several mountain communities in Trentino\, Veneto\, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia found their cellars flooded and their houses stripped of roofs by the wind. \nSix years later\, the consequences of the Vaia storm are still visible and tangible. Many trees remain on the ground\, as collecting them is a complex operation that requires experience and resources. Their wood feeds the bark beetle\, a parasitic insect that moves from dead plants to those still standing\, causing damage six times greater than that of the storm. \nFurthermore\, the fallen trees no longer serve their protective function against landslides and avalanches\, and the damaged beds of the streams are no longer able to channel and contain the water. As experts and locals roll up their sleeves to restore normalcy\, the overall economic damage has been estimated at over three billion euros. Storms have always been part of the history of the forests\, but global warming is amplifying their scale and frequency. \n With a documentary approach and in dialogue with elements of scientific research and archives\, There’s No Calm After the Storm investigates the long-term consequences of the Vaia storm. The project aims to analyze what happened with the time necessary to reflect on causes\, consequences\, and future perspectives\, raising public awareness about the issue of climate emergency and the fragile balance between human action and the integrity of ecosystems. \nInauguration Friday\, September 12 at 6:00 PMExhibition on the long-term consequences of Vaia

SUMMARY:HAYALLER
DESCRIPTION:Monday: 14:30 – 19:30Tuesday: CLOSEDWednesday: 10:30 – 12:30 / 14:30 – 18:30Thursday: 14:30 – 19:30Friday: 15:00 – 18:00 \nSaturday 27 and Sunday 28 September: 15:00 – 18:00Saturday 04 and Sunday 05 October: 10:00 – 18:00 \nAfter a few years of exhibiting pause\, the artist Carlo Roni returns to present his works to the public with a solo exhibition that will take place in his hometown\, Santa Giustina. The exhibition represents the first official event related to the Mostra Mercato 2025. \nThe inauguration will take place on Thursday\, September 25 at 6:00 PM at the multifunctional hall of the Cultural Center\, located at via Cal de Formiga 31\, with a presentation by Dr. Cristina Pierotti. \n The exhibition\, sponsored by the Municipality of Santa Giustina and the Department of Culture\, is titled “HAYALLER”\, a Turkish word that means “dreams.” An evocative title\, inspired by a musical piece from a Turkish band particularly dear to the artist\, whose notes will accompany the exhibition path. The music\, in fact\, is the same that the author usually listens to during the creative process. \n On display are 24+1 works\, created in the last five years\, using oil on canvas technique\, in sizes 50×70 and 60×80. The paintings present themselves as an inner journey\, deeply personal\, where abstraction merges with figurative elements and recurring dreamlike symbols. The artist’s pictorial language moves between metaphysics and surrealism\, giving life to works that configure as “daydreams”: sometimes whispered\, other times shouted\, but always authentically experienced. \n The exhibition will remain open until October 10. The artist will be present in the hall every Saturday and Sunday\, to meet the public and discuss the works. \nPainting exhibition by Carlo Roni

SUMMARY:Barch Art Festival "Le differenti bellezze"
DESCRIPTION:The dialogue between rural past and industrial present. \nThere are places that are not just meant to exist. They breathe\, listen\, and tell stories. Dolomiti Hub is one of these. \nBorn from the conversion of an industrial space on the outskirts of the Dolomiti Bellunesi\, it is now a vibrant crossroads of relationships\, ideas\, and cultural and social projects. \n From here\, in 2023\, Barch Art was born\, an artistic cycle-pedestrian path immersed in the Fonzaso countryside\, where art\, territory\, and memory merge into a collective narrative. \nThe project has transformed the traditional Barch (ancient hay sheds) into a new form of land art\, giving life to 14 poetic and visual installations that reinterpret the landscape and its stories. Barch Art is research\, a bridge between agricultural civilization and industrial society\, between silence and transformation\, between identity and future. \nToday\, community art flourishes in the Barch Art Festival – The Different Beauties\, a widespread cultural event that brings attention back to a landscape often forgotten: the one between the countryside and warehouses\, between the old and the new\, between nature and artifice. \n Between agricultural memory and productive heritage. A landscape that has too long remained on the margins of sight and narrative. \nFour days of walks\, exhibitions\, sounds\, and meetings invite us to slow down and observe from new angles. \nTo rediscover different beauties\, yet profoundly connected: the past and the present\, the artistic gesture and the agricultural one\, the community that remembers and the one that produces.

SUMMARY:Eva\, diario di una costola
DESCRIPTION:Tickets:– Full ticket €12.00. – Reduced ticket Pro Loco member €10.00. \n– Full subscription for 6 shows €60– Reduced subscription Pro Loco member for 6 shows €50.00 \nOn Saturday October 5th\, the theatrical performance “Eva\, diary of a rib” of the XVI Edition of the 5Vie theater festival will take place at the Teatro San Gaetano in Castion. \n“Then the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man\, and he slept. Then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. With the rib which He had taken from the man\, God made a woman. Then He gave this command: you may eat from all the trees of the garden\, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat.” How the story continues\, we know. Eva feeds on the forbidden fruit of knowledge\, thus renouncing Paradise. \nWhy did she do it? This play is a tribute to female disobedience. Eva is an absolute voice\, reflecting and asking questions day after day. It is a voice that names in order to know. It is a voice that hangs in the void\, waiting. It is a voice that is not satisfied. She questions the fate of the women who will come after her. It is a delicate\, ruthless\, comic\, and authentic monologue accompanied by the notes of violinist Marta Pistocchi\, who envelops it in a sound cloud. And then there are countless apples. The choice is up to the audience… \nWith: Rita Pelusio and Marta Pistocchi (violin) – Direction: Marco Rampoldi – Production: PEM Habitat Teatrali \nFor info and reservations: cell. 345 823 8880 | info@prolocopievecastionese.it \nTheatre show of the 16th edition 5Vie
