SUMMARY:Mail Art
DESCRIPTION:The Municipality of Borgo Valbelluna\, the Workers’ Society of Lentiai\, and the AUSER of Lentiai promote the Mail Art project. \nMail Art is an artistic practice that uses the postal service to send and receive “works of art\,” usually of small dimensions\, such as postcards and illustrated envelopes. \nIn an era dominated by digital communications\, the aim is to rediscover the value of postal correspondence as a form of relational art and as a tool for building connections through creativity. \nThe project is open to every artistic language: painting\, poetry\, singing\, sculpture\, writing\, illustration\, and music. \nThe young people have created “mini works” that have been sent and will be sent to artists\, museums\, galleries\, cultural associations\, radio stations\, and record labels\, asking them for a creative response and a brief testimony of their activity. \nThe invitation is not only directed at artists but also to cultural institutions\, museums\, galleries\, and associations that can share their projects and highlight interested artists\, or contribute by spreading the attached letter to the artists they collaborate with. \nAll material received will be collected and kept by the Municipality of Borgo Valbelluna (the Mel fraction – Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club)\, with the ambitious goal of transforming the town into the “Municipality of Mail Art\,” by organizing public exhibitions of the works received. \n“We want this initiative to grow over time and become an opportunity for dialogue between different artistic languages\, enhancing the human and creative contact that a simple letter can generate\,” explains Marco Bellotto\, president of the SOMS. \n Organizers of the Mail Art project: Marco Bellotto\, Christian Benincà\, Lorenzo Durante (President Auser)\, Annalisa Gasperin\, Duilio Maggis\, Hane Ponik\, Zoe Zanella. Collaborators: Matteo Bellotto\, Walter Bernardi\, Mauro Bianchet\, Patrizia Milani\, Barbara Pasa\, Alex Pergher\, Caterina Pison. \n For all information\, contact the IAT of Borgo Valbelluna

SUMMARY:Francis of Assisi on the eighth centenary of his death
DESCRIPTION:800 years after the death of Francis of Assisi\, the Municipal Administration has chosen to dedicate various events to this extraordinary figure of saint and poet. \nThanks to the synergy with the Parish of the Concatedral of Feltre\, a detailed program of cultural and spiritual events has been defined\, which will begin in March and conclude in October. The various initiatives will offer the opportunity to explore and enhance “the little poor man of Assisi” from multiple perspectives\, highlighting the relevance and richness of his message. \n The unmissable event of the reading marathon will be dedicated to the Saint and will take place in the morning at schools and will continue with an urban trekking through the places in the city where Franciscanism has left tangible traces. \nTo confirm the presence and impact of the Franciscan tradition in the territory\, there will also be conferences promoted by the Parish\, which will precede the initiative\, and the exhibition set up at the “Carlo Rizzarda” Modern Art Gallery. \n Two authoritative figures from the cultural landscape will help outline the profile of Saint Francis of Assisi: Vittorino Andreoli\, author of the book ” The Madman of God: The Story of Francis of Assisi” and Aldo Cazzullo\, the protagonist of a monologue he wrote himself. Literature\, history\, art\, and spirituality intertwine in Feltre as a tribute to the Patron Saint of Italy\, whose feast day has been restored on October 4. \nCultural and spiritual events in the city of Feltre

SUMMARY:Winds from the East
DESCRIPTION:Review of Iranian artists. \nWinds from the East – Venti di Levante is a cultural showcase that intertwines visual arts\, music\, and workshops to give voice to the contemporary Iranian artistic landscape. Through perspective and material\, the project aims to serve as a space for shared reflection on themes of memory\, body\, identity\, and social transformations. \nThe pathway opens at the Library of Trichiana with the solo exhibition of Samereh Sagheb\, an exhibition titled Iran | Beyond the Gaze of Women\, enriched by an in-depth meeting designed to overcome stereotypes and penetrate the complexity of the female experience. \nAt the Palace of the Countesses\, the conceptual and multidisciplinary research of Nasser Teymourpour comes to life\, whose work transforms matter into a space of tension between official narratives and individual experience. \nAlongside the exhibition\, the same palace hosts the artistic workshop led by the RIWAR collective (Body | Memory | Narrative)\, an open workshop of dialogue and experimentation where participants explore their own stories\, transforming them into visual expression. \nFinally\, the Auditorium of San Pietro a Mel welcomes the evocative music of Alireza Mortazavi in the concert The Lost Persia\, a sonic journey entrusted to the vibrations of the santur capable of stitching together ancient traditions and contemporary sensibilities.

SUMMARY:What next?!
DESCRIPTION:Open Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. \nNasser Teymourpour is an Anglo-Iranian multidisciplinary artist residing in Italy\, whose practice transforms the intersection between conceptual art\, materiality\, and lived experience into a space for reflection on power\, violence\, memory\, and the body. Trained in Industrial Design in Tehran and later in Scenography at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (Die Angewandte)\, he has developed\, over nearly twenty-five years of artistic activity\, a layered and autonomous visual language. His participation in the First and Second Exhibit of Conceptual Art at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran\, along with eight solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in Europe and Southwestern Asia\, reflects a constant inquiry related to conceptual and processual practices in contemporary art. \nIn his work\, matter is never just an expressive means but becomes a space through which meaning is produced\, eroded\, displaced\, and transformed. \nThis project is based on the idea that art\, in addition to representing or reflecting social and political realities\, can itself become a field of tension\, interference\, and redefinition. Political and social issues enter the works through process\, matter\, repetition\, removal\, collapse\, and sometimes through an almost obsessive focus on the form itself. What emerges as central is not just the event\, but the mechanisms through which perception is produced\, oriented\, and stabilized. \nIn this approach\, war\, migration\, oppression\, gender\, body\, and collective memory do not present themselves as separate themes\, but as intertwined layers through which differences between lived experience\, alternative discourse\, micro-narratives\, and official or dominant narratives are outlined. The images here oscillate between form and document; they become sites of conflict where words\, symbols\, and even materials lose their stability\, entering into an unstable and intertextual condition. \nThe exhibition includes a multidisciplinary corpus that spans painting\, drawing\, printmaking\, animation\, performance\, and installation\, all practices that can be traced back to the realm of conceptual art. In many of these media\, the process of creation constitutes an inseparable part of the work’s meaning. Erosion\, destruction\, repetition\, and material transformation do not represent mere formal strategies\, but reflect the same conditions to which the works refer. \nUltimately\, this project attempts to open a fracture within stabilized narratives; a space where the viewer confronts not definitive answers\, but a suspended condition of perception\, memory\, and meaning. \nOpening September 19 at 5:30 p.m. \nSolo exhibition

SUMMARY:Oltre le Vette
DESCRIPTION:All events in the review are free to enter and do not require a reservation\, unless explicitly stated. At the entrance\, you will find the opportunity to make a voluntary and conscious donation to support the event. \nBeyond the Peaks returns to Belluno from October 2 to October 11 for a new journey to discover the Dolomites. At the heart of this edition is a curious look at the territory and the profound transformations it has undergone in the last 150 years. \nGuiding us is the extraordinary tale of Amelia B. Edwards\, an English writer and traveler who explored the Dolomites in the 19th century with her friend Lucy\, leaving us a precious testimony of a world then still little known. In her book Untrodden Peaks and Unfrequented Valleys\, now republished in Italy as Cime inviolate e valli sconosciute\, mountains and valleys appear wild\, remote\, and surprising. \nSince then\, much has changed: roads\, transport\, tourism\, and hospitality have profoundly transformed the landscape and the life of the Dolomite communities. Nevertheless\, among the peaks and valleys\, something extraordinary remains: the millennial intertwining of nature\, history\, and culture that makes this territory unique. \nBeyond the Peaks invites you to rediscover the Dolomites with new eyes\, allowing yourself to be surprised by what has changed and by what still endures. An opportunity to view the mountains not just as a destination to reach\, but as a space to know\, live in\, and cherish. \nA journey through time and landscape\, following the footsteps of two young travelers who\, 150 years ago\, were able to look at the Dolomites with wonder and curiosity. \nMetaphors\, Men\, Places of the mountain

SUMMARY:Trovarsi al sole
DESCRIPTION:Free event\, registration required 12 occasions through the streets of Valbelluna to meet new faces and discover other paths. \nNot just work\, not just home. To choose a place\, something more is needed: fundamental are the relationships one manages to build around oneself. \nThat is why\, within the PRIMAVERA CASA project – a project aimed at reopening unused houses in Valbelluna to make them available to new inhabitants\, young people\, workers – the widespread event TROVARSI was born. \nA lot of outings to discover the territory\, to build relationships while walking. The 12 outings of TROVARSI AL SOLE are distributed both geographically (throughout Valbelluna) and temporally (the first on June 20\, the last on October 18) and are completely free\, but with limited number: therefore\, it is important to book\, through the site primaveracasa.eu or on Eventbrite (the link is https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/trovarsi-al-sole-trovarsi-allombra-4844988). \n The event – which in autumn will become TROVARSI ALL’OMBRA\, moving to the taverns of Valbelluna – is designed as a welcome for those who have recently moved here (but not only!)\, and have pleasure in getting to know\, along with new places\, new people. And precisely to encourage meetings among those who do not yet know each other\, at the end or during the walks\, or bike rides\, convivial moments are always planned – to chat also with your legs under the table\, in a refuge or in a malga\, at the bar\, in a tavern\, with a refreshing aperitif. \n Even the convivial moments are covered by the PRIMAVERA CASA project. A project that\, let us remember\, has been working for some years (since September 2022)\, thanks to the support of the Cariverona Foundation\, together with property owners to reopen unused houses\, to give them new life and make them available to those who wish to move to live and work in Valbelluna. The project partners are\, from the beginning\, Società Nuova\, Isoipse\, ACLI servizi\, and the Dolomiti Prealpi Tourism Consortium. \n The TROVARSI event\, in particular\, is conceived and organized by ISOIPSE\, in collaboration with the rest of the team. In thinking about the importance of territorial hospitality\, compared to the much-celebrated appeal of the territory\, it seemed natural to us to imagine an event – partly in the sun\, walking\, partly in the shade\, among the bars and taverns of Valbelluna – that encourages the seemingly simple but not so easy goal\, especially for those who move here\, of meeting new people\, spending quality time together\, and taking the risk of getting to know them. \n THE OUTINGS In particular\, for TROVARSI AL SOLE\, 12 outings have been scheduled\, partly with the guides of ISOIPSE\, partly with the social operators of the Dolomiti Prealpi Tourism Consortium. \n \nJune 20 afternoon – Resilient vineyards\, in Sospirolo \n June 27 afternoon – The Ice Age\, on Monte Avena \n July 4 morning – Among the beech trees\, at Col Indes (Alpago) \n July 12 morning – Here\, we still play\, in Farra di Mel July 25 afternoon – In the moon of herbs\, in Valmorel \n August 29 morning – Between bàrch and fojaròi\, in Val di Seren – bike outing \nSeptember 12 morning – The wind has risen\, on Vajont – the cost of visiting the dam is 7 euros \nSeptember 19 afternoon – Getting lost to find oneself\, in Cansiglio \nSeptember 26 afternoon – Watching the sea\, in Nevegal \n October 3 morning – Houses and crops\, in Solivi di Fastro – bike outing \nOctober 10 morning – Border surprises\, in San Donato di Lamon \nOctober 18 morning – Man through the centuries\, in Valle di Lamen

SUMMARY:Festa della castagna
DESCRIPTION:Pedavena conquers hearts with the flavors and colors of autumn. \nEvery year\, with the arrival of autumn\, Pedavena comes alive to celebrate the chestnut\, the undisputed queen of the season. \nThe Chestnut Festival is a moment of gathering\, rediscovering peasant roots\, and enhancing the territory. It is not only a feast of flavors but also an opportunity to support local economies and promote rural culture. Participating in a chestnut festival means experiencing a warm and genuine atmosphere\, filled with true flavors\, sincere smiles\, and a strong sense of community. \n The heart of the festival is the roasted chestnuts and the wide market exhibition of local agri-food and artisanal products\, with food stands and markets extending along the avenue of the Birreria Pedavena to the center of the town. \nEvery Sunday in October\, a different event will characterize the festival with happenings such as the Gran Prix Sportful (a skiroll race)\, the sports festival\, \naccompanied by musical moments and activities for children\, like the “Games of the Past.” \nEvery year\, Pedavena reserves a special day featuring a guest of honor\, whose name will be revealed shortly. \n The celebration of the Holy Mass held in the town square is evocative. \n Pedavena… not just the town of Beer!
