Der Begriff <em>\u201esponcio\u201c<\/em> kommt aus dem lokalen Dialekt und bedeutet so viel wie \u201estechend\u201c. Diese widerstandsf\u00e4hige Pflanze hat sich im Laufe der Zeit perfekt an das raue Bergklima der Provinz Belluno angepasst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionell wird der Mais in alten wasserbetriebenen M\u00fchlen steingemahlen, wodurch ein besonders gesch\u00e4tztes halbvollkorniges Maismehl entsteht. Dieses Mehl verleiht der typischen Bergpolenta ihre goldgelbe Farbe mit den charakteristischen braunen Sprenkeln, die ihr ein rustikales und authentisches Aussehen geben. Polenta aus Mais Sponcio ist fest, kr\u00e4ftig, aromatisch und ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Produktion wird vom Consorzio del Mais Sponcio gesch\u00fctzt, dem landwirtschaftliche Erzeuger aus der Provinz Belluno angeh\u00f6ren, die in der landwirtschaftlichen Genossenschaft La Fiorita organisiert sind.
